How and where can I pay property taxes using a paper receipt and online? Instructions for online payment of land tax Payments to the Federal Tax Service online.

08/13/2019 , Sashka Bukashka

There are several ways to pay tax without a receipt:

  1. Generate a payment order online on official websites.
  2. Make a payment via online banking.
  3. Pay via Yandex.Money.

The post office, alas, loses letters, even official ones. And citizen taxpayers are obliged to pay the budget annually for tax obligations - to pay on time for:

  • property;
  • transport;
  • land.

The Federal Tax Service notifies taxpayers of debt amounts no later than 30 days before the end of payment deadlines. That is, if the deadline for transferring the debt for a car is October 1, therefore, the Federal Tax Service must send payment documents no later than September 1.

I haven’t received a tax receipt, what should I do?

If you have not received a corresponding notification from the Federal Tax Service about your outstanding tax liability, this does not mean that you do not owe the state anything.

You can check your debt and print a receipt for paying taxes using your TIN on the official website of the Federal Tax Service. The procedure is simple and does not take much time. You will need a TIN, a mobile phone or computer with Internet access and a bank card. You can also generate a receipt for tax payment through the State Services website.

IMPORTANT! For personal income tax (personal income tax), notifications for payment are not sent out. This tax is paid for citizens by the tax agent (the employer or other company from which you received income). If the income is received from the sale of property, then in this case the person’s responsibility is to independently file a 3-NDFL declaration and pay the tax. And you will not receive a receipt for paying income taxes in 2019.

We will tell you how to receive a receipt for payment of transport tax via the Internet, since this is the most common tax obligation.

Why don't my tax bills arrive?

The main reasons for the lack of receipts:

  • the letter was lost in the mail;
  • error or failure in the Federal Tax Service system;
  • changing of the living place;
  • absence of debt for the taxpayer.

If a citizen has registered on the official website of Gosuslugi, then the Federal Tax Service has the right not to send payment documents through Russian Post. Registration on the state portal already involves receiving receipts and information about debt in an online format.

But registration on the government services portal takes an average of two weeks. And if there are several days left until the debt is due, use the following algorithm.

How to find taxes by TIN, print a receipt and pay

On December 1 of each year we are obliged to pay the state for our property, cars, land. But what to do and how to pay taxes if the receipt has not arrived - in the modern information space this task is easily accomplished. To resolve the issue, we will contact Sberbank’s online banking (if you are its client). The required section is here:

Select the subsection “Search and payment of taxes to the Federal Tax Service”.

To search for tax debts, you need to select the “Search for overdue taxes” service and enter your TIN.

The bank itself will contact the tax database. The whole operation will take a few seconds. After receiving the result, the debt can be paid immediately. Other banks also have similar services (Rocketbank, for example, can track the client’s taxes using the TIN entered in the mobile application and offers to pay them on time).

Payment via Yandex.Money

Another way to pay taxes if there is no receipt is the Yandex.Money service “Taxes: verification and payment”. This is relevant for those who have Yandex.Wallet. But it will also allow others to find out if they have tax debts and pay them with a bank card. You need to enter your TIN in the form provided. In a few seconds the result will be obtained.

The Yandex.Money service allows you to pay property tax without a receipt using an INN, or use a receipt instead of an INN. It is very comfortable.

How to receive receipts for taxes on government services

Step 3. Fill in the details of the payment recipient. We enter the registration address. The Federal Tax Service Inspectorate and OKTMO code of the municipality will be updated automatically.

Step 4. We write down the last name, first name and patronymic of the taxpayer, indicate it. We check the entered information and move on to the next stage.

Step 5. We choose one of two available methods of payment for the received receipt: non-cash payment using online payment systems or payment in cash at any bank branch.

For the second option, create a document and print it. For payments through payment terminals, use the UIN - document index in the tax receipt.

You can pay your budget through a Sberbank branch or your personal Internet banking account. In the payment terminal or in your personal account, run a search for debts by TIN. The system will determine the amount of tax liabilities payable. Follow the prompts to transfer funds to the Federal Tax Service.

How to find out the amount of debt

The procedure for paying transport tax without a receipt has been determined. But you need to specify the payment amount. If the tax receipt is not available on the tax office website (did not arrive or was lost), you can find out the amount of the debt in several ways:

  1. Call the inspectorate or visit in person.
  2. Register in your personal account with the Federal Tax Service and check your debt.
  3. Check your debts through the State Services website.

Penalties are provided for citizens for late payments to the budget. Penalties will be charged on the amount of the debt.

Property tax: how to find out and pay

We’ll tell you right away how to pay property tax for individuals if there is no receipt - similar to paying transport tax. Use any method:

  1. Visit the inspection.
  2. Contact the taxpayer's personal account.
  3. Receive a receipt or make a payment through the State Services portal.
  4. Use the service (online banking) of the servicing bank.
  5. Do this through Yandex.Money.

As of 01/01/2019, a new opportunity has appeared - not to wait for a notification from the tax office at all, but to pay taxes in advance. This is called a “single down payment”. It is transferred through the taxpayer’s personal account. The link to replenish your advance wallet is on the main page of your personal account.

You can pay in advance any amount (for example, similar to that accrued for the previous year). The system will prompt you to pay it immediately or tell you how to print a receipt for payment of property tax for individuals for payment through a bank.

This advance payment will be used to pay off future taxes on property, land and transport. It is assumed that such an advance will prevent the formation of tax debts and avoid the need to collect penalties and fines.

All persons who have an obligation to pay taxes must fulfill it. Now there are many ways to pay tax debts. Some can do this online, using mobile applications, while others prefer to do it the old fashioned way, receiving a letter with a receipt by mail or from the local tax office. Next, we’ll look at all the possible ways to pay tax debts and look at the main nuances.

Where to pay tax debts

The Federal Tax Service is very interested in ensuring that taxes are paid on time, so information about tax debt is publicly available. Before paying the tax, the payer must know the amount to pay. If previously tax authorities constantly sent out notifications with receipts, now not all taxpayers receive them.

When a citizen has a tax debt of less than one hundred rubles, a receipt will not be sent to him. But this does not mean that now he can not be paid.

As you know, failure to pay taxes on time may result in penalties. Therefore, a person must take care of himself to find out the accrued amount, receive a receipt and pay the debt.

Information about the debt or a receipt for payment can be obtained in one of the following ways:

  • contact any tax authority;
  • log into your personal account on the Federal Tax Service website;
  • resort to the help of the Internet service “Payment of taxes for individuals”;
  • through the Sberbank Online service;
  • through the State Services portal;
  • on third-party resources using the GIS GMP system.

As for payment methods, when the receipt is already in the hands of the taxpayer, the choice is even wider. Everyone can do this using cash or non-cash payment. The most common methods of paying taxes are:

  • Sberbank terminals;
  • Sberbank Online mobile application;
  • personal account on the official website of the tax service;
  • service “Payment for government services”;
  • electronic wallets and other payment systems.

Thus, finding a suitable payment method will not be difficult for the taxpayer at all.

The video below will tell you how to find out and pay your tax debt:

How to make a payment without the Internet

Some people do not have access to the World Wide Web due to the fact that they do not know how to use computers and other gadgets. What should such citizens do?

By receipt

Lack of access to the Internet does not mean that these people will not be able to pay taxes on time, since the Federal Tax Service Data Processing Centers continue to send out tax notices. Only those citizens whose accrual does not exceed one hundred rubles will not receive it. However, such cases account for a very small percentage of the total number of taxpayers.

Having a receipt in hand, it will not be difficult to pay for it at any bank, post office or through self-service terminals. Employees of these institutions will certainly provide assistance to the payer if he is unable to do this on his own.

Without her

It is not uncommon for taxpayers to complain that they did not receive their tax notice on time and therefore did not pay the amount. In such cases, it is important to know that the absence of a receipt does not relieve citizens from tax obligations; they themselves must ensure that they are fulfilled within the prescribed period.

The notification may not reach the addressee for the following reasons:

  • the letter was lost by Russian Post;
  • the amount is less than 100 rubles;
  • the tax was not calculated due to the absence of a taxable object in the Federal Tax Service database.

If a citizen is faced with a similar situation, and he does not have the opportunity to visit the Federal Tax Service website on the Internet, he will have to visit the local tax office. There they will help him find out the reason for the absence of a receipt, print out a new one if the old payment is lost, or independently make a request to Rosreestr or to identify the property or.

How to pay online

Experienced Internet users know that as soon as they enter a query on how to pay taxes in a search engine, hundreds of sites immediately appear where they offer to do this.

How to avoid running into scammers? How to secure your wire transfer so that it reaches its intended destination? Let's look at where and how best to pay taxes online.

By TIN

Despite the fact that many Internet resources offer visitors to pay taxes online using a TIN, the most reliable way is to contact the official source. The Federal Tax Service offers to use the free service “Payment of taxes for individuals.”

Here you have the option to do it yourself:

  • display the receipt and print it;
  • find out debts on taxes, fines, penalties;
  • make payments by non-cash method.

The request form asks the payer to enter his last name, first name and TIN one by one. Next, you will need to select the type of tax, registration address according to your passport, type of payment (penalty or principal) and the amount that you will need to know in advance. The system offers to make a payment in cash, then a receipt will simply be printed, and non-cash via electronic transfer from a bank card.

Through Sberbank

Many people use Internet banking from Sberbank, value it for the reliability of payments and a fast mobile application that allows you to pay any fines, state duties, utilities, and taxes. To register your personal account and use the Sberbank Online application, you need to either contact the nearest bank office or obtain a login and password to access the site through an ATM.

  1. Go to "Payments".
  2. Select “Taxes, traffic police”.
  3. Use the search to find the Federal Tax Service.
  4. Click on “Search and pay taxes.”
  5. Next, either enter the index of the existing receipt, or use the TIN to find your accrued amount.
  6. Select the card from which the payment will be debited and pay.

All details of the completed payment will remain in the transaction history and in the receipt, which can be saved electronically or sent to yourself by email.

Through State Services

The State Services Portal is a universal tool through which a citizen can access information provided by the information systems of all government agencies, services, ministries and departments. Therefore, here you can also find out the latest information about tax debt, print a receipt and pay the tax.

The only difficulty may be registration on the State Services website. In order for the user’s account to have a confirmed status, the system gradually checks all the data that the user enters: SNILS and INN numbers, email address, phone number. Final confirmation of your account can be obtained by ordering a letter with an activation code to your email address.

With full access to the site, it becomes possible to find out the tax amount and pay it in several steps:

  1. In the public services section, you need to find the “Tax debt check” tab.
  2. After reading the description, you can click “Get the service”.
  3. To pay the debt you will need to use the “Payment for government services” service.
  4. Step by step enter your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), type and type of payment, amount and make payment in a convenient way.

The system always provides the payer with information that payment processing may take 14 days before the debt amount disappears in the personal account on the Federal Tax Service website.

This video will tell you how to pay your debt through State Services:

No commission

The listed payment methods: Sberbank Online, the State Services portal, the Federal Tax Service, the taxpayer’s personal account, Sberbank terminals, all of this refers to methods of paying taxes without commission. Some other payment systems, such as QIWI, WebMoney, YandexMoney, charge a commission. Therefore, the most reliable way to pay taxes, which will allow you to avoid commission fees, can be considered using your personal account on the Federal Tax Service website.

Other options

In addition to official and trusted sources on the Internet, there are many sites where you can pay taxes. It’s good if they use the GIS GMP system for this, because this system contains a constantly updated database of state and municipal payments. But many sites offer unconfirmed information, and besides, they charge a large commission for making a payment. Experts do not recommend using such resources to pay taxes.

Is it possible to pay in installments?

The deadline for payment of property taxes is set no later than December 1 of the year following the reporting period. Until this date arrives, the taxpayer has the opportunity to make payments in installments to meet the deadline. If, as of December 1, a person has some amount unpaid, then penalties cannot be avoided.

If after payment the debt remains

Payers often complain that they have already paid taxes, but the debt remains in their personal account on the Federal Tax Service website. There is no need to worry or panic about this, because each payment is processed within 2 weeks, and debt is written off within 2 to 4 weeks. Therefore, it is possible to objectively evaluate the results of making a payment only after a month.

This video will tell you about other ways to pay tax debts:

Reading time: 10 min

You don't have to go far to pay your vehicle tax. Even if the payment deadline has already arrived, but the receipt for which this needs to be done is not at hand, you can resolve this issue without leaving home. For example, using the official website of the Federal Tax Service, online wallets, the Sberbank website or the Government Services portal.

In this material we will talk about several payment options and discuss in detail how to pay car tax through State Services.

How to pay transport tax through the State Services portal

First of all, we note that only a person with a confirmed account who has indicated their passport details and SNILS number and has passed the verification can pay tax on this portal.

In September 2018, news appeared on the Internet about the signing by the President of Law No. 335-FZ, which supposedly abolishes the transport tax and all debts under it starting in 2015. Don't believe it! Yes, in June 2018, the draft law dated 06/05/2018 480908-7 on the abolition of the transport tax was submitted to the State Duma, but it WAS NOT ACCEPTED by the deputies.

Now more about the procedure. Log in to your personal account, in the “Service Catalog” section, click on the “Taxes and Finance” tab, then on the “Tax debt” link.

Here you can find information about the service. To receive information whether there is a debt, fill out an application and indicate your Taxpayer Identification Number.

The portal offers to connect informers in the “Setting up notifications” section or download the State Services mobile application to receive notifications in real time. Click on the link “Get a service”.

There are two options for searching for debt: by personal data or by receipt number, if known. The full name is “unique accrual identifier”. It consists of 20–25 digits and is called by different names. In traffic police receipts, this number is located in the “Resolution” column, in tax receipts - in the “Document Index” subsection.

Having chosen the option of searching for debts using personal data, you only need to check the correctness of the personal information: full name and TIN. This data is entered automatically from your personal account. But the TIN can also be entered manually.

The debt can be repaid using bank cards, mobile payments or electronic money. Mobile payments are made with a commission, the amount of which depends on the operator. But the situation with a bank card is more complicated, it all depends on the bank - some banks carry out the operation without a commission, while other banks charge.

Paid debts are stored in the “Payments” section. In the same way, you can see the amount of tax assigned.

A common problem when paying taxes on the website gosuslugi.ru: the fine was paid, but this was not reflected in the status. After successful payment of the fine through the State Services portal, the status shows the phrase “No information on payment.” You must wait a day for the money to be credited. If nothing happens after that, you should try updating the status manually in your Personal Account.

Status updating is only possible on the website; this function is not available in the mobile application.

In case of problems, call or write to support:

  1. in a special section on the official website;
  2. by toll-free hotline 8 800 100-70-10;
  3. call 115 (for mobile phones).

Payment of transport tax through the Federal Tax Service website

Another option for making payments online is the portal of the Federal Tax Service. By logging into the website nalog.ru, find on the main page the entrance to the taxpayer’s personal account for individuals. To authorize, use the login and password of the State Services portal. Then go to the “accrued” tab. Information about accrued taxes is displayed here. Select the one you want and click “Pay.”

Payment through Sberbank online

Using this popular online banking, it is also possible to pay transport taxes. You must first register with a Sberbank card and a mobile phone linked to it. Log in by entering the code from the SMS. In the “Transfers and Payments” tab we find the “Payment for Purchases and Services” subsection. We indicate the city next to it.

In the section “Staff Police, taxes, duties...” click on the Federal Tax Service. On the page that opens, select the option “Search and pay taxes to the Federal Tax Service.”

  1. If you have already received a receipt, select payment by document index;
  2. If there is no receipt, click on the “search by TIN” option;
  3. Or payment to the Federal Tax Service using arbitrary details.

In the first case, you need to enter the receipt number, verify the data and make payment.

In the second - after entering the TIN, the found charges will be displayed, select and pay.

Payment using Webmoney and Yandex.Money

Payment using the Yandex.Money service, Webmoney and other electronic wallets looks similar.

If you have an account in Yandex.Money, log into your wallet, select the “Goods and Services” line in the menu, then “Taxes”. Check if there are accrued taxes by entering your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). Or search by receipt number. Click the "Pay" button.

We pay the selected amount of fines and penalties from the previously replenished wallet. Webmoney commission for each payment is 15 rubles.

That's all. Paying taxes online simplifies this unpleasant procedure. Now, having paid the vehicle tax, you don’t have to think about it for a whole year.

Our service allows you to check and pay online taxes for individuals: transport tax, land tax, property tax for individuals. The check is carried out using TIN, SNILS or document index (UIN). Registration in the personal account of the Federal Tax Service on the website nalog.ru is not required.

If tax charges or debts are detected, you can pay them immediately; MasterCard, Visa, MIR bank cards are accepted as a means of payment.

* The search is carried out in the GIS GMP (taxes issued throughout Russia).

Tax verification is carried out using the database of the “State Information System on State and Municipal Payments” (abbreviated as GIS GMP). This database contains data on all tax assessments in Russia.

How to check taxes using TIN or UIN?

In order to check tax accruals and debts, you will need the number of one of the following documents:

  1. TIN - Taxpayer Identification Number
  2. SNILS - Insurance number of an individual personal account in the Pension Fund of Russia (green plastic card)
  3. UIN or document index - the number of the Federal Tax Service notification about accrued taxes

Tax verification is carried out using the document number entered in the appropriate fields of the search form. You can check your taxes by entering both documents at the same time. SNILS number is entered no hyphens or spaces, only numbers.

Using the TIN or SNILS, you can only find out tax arrears, i.e., assessments that were not paid within the period established by law. Current tax accruals can only be found by UIN.

After entering data into the fields of the search form, click the “SEARCH TAXES” button. Tax verification may take a long time, please wait for the result.

If taxes are found as a result of the audit, detailed information will be provided: date, UIN, type of tax, amount payable, etc. Otherwise, a message will appear stating that nothing was found.

Background information on taxes for individuals

Below you will find answers to basic personal tax questions. If you have not found the answer to your question, send it through the feedback form.

What taxes must individuals pay?

Individuals pay the following types of taxes: property tax for individuals, transport and land.

Is it possible to check taxes by last name?

It is not possible to check taxes based on the last name of an individual. It is obvious that in Russia there are a huge number of people with completely identical surnames, first names and patronymics. In such a situation, checking taxes by last name would produce a meaningless result.

Is it possible to find out taxes by last name on the website nalog.ru?

As noted above, on any website, including www.nalog.ru (instructions for working with the website), it is impossible to find out tax accruals and debts by last name.

How to check taxes using passport data?

It is impossible to find out taxes directly from your passport data. However, there is a workaround - using passport data, on the website nalog.ru, you can find out the TIN and then check the taxes using the TIN.

How to find out your TIN?

You can find out the TIN of an individual using passport data on the website of the Federal Tax Service tax.ru - https://service.nalog.ru/inn.do

Is it possible to find out land tax by cadastral number?

Unfortunately, it is impossible to find out the calculation of land tax by cadastral number. This tax can only be found out by the TIN of the owner of the land plot or UIN.

Is it possible to check taxes on the Federal Tax Service website (nalog.ru) without registration?

Checking taxes on the website nalog.ru without registration is impossible. Information on tax assessments on the Federal Tax Service website is available only through the taxpayer’s personal account. To obtain a login and password, you can contact any office of the Federal Tax Service, regardless of your place of residence and registration. You must have your passport and original/copy of your registration certificate with you.

When is it necessary to pay taxes for individuals?

In accordance with the amendments made by Federal Law No. 320-FZ of November 23, 2015 to Part Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, taxes must be paid no later than December 1 of the year following the expired tax period. For example, property tax for individuals, transport and land tax for 2017 must be paid no later than December 1, 2018, taking into account the fact that December 1 in 2018 falls on a day off - the deadline for paying taxes without fine - December 3, 2018.

What happens if you don't pay taxes?

In the event that a taxpayer does not pay taxes, the Federal Tax Service generates a demand for payment of taxes, penalties, and fines. If the taxpayer fails to comply with the payment requirement within the time period established in this requirement, the tax authority begins the procedure for collecting debt on mandatory payments to the budget system of the Russian Federation.
Debt collection from individuals who are not individual entrepreneurs is carried out under two conditions:
- the debtor has an unfulfilled obligation in an amount exceeding 3,000 rubles;
- expiration of the three-year deadline for fulfilling the payment requirement, if the total amount of taxes, fees, penalties, and fines unpaid by the taxpayer does not exceed 3,000 rubles
In these cases, an application for recovery from the property of a taxpayer - an individual - is submitted by the tax authority to the court when one of the above conditions occurs.

How to find out the tax accrual UIN?

Every year, the Federal Tax Service sends out a tax notice by mail, along with a receipt for payment. UIN is designated as a document index, consists of 20 digits and is located at the top of the receipt.
If you have not received a tax notice, you can view it in your taxpayer’s personal account or receive it by contacting the Federal Tax Service in person.
