We build a brazier in a brick gazebo with our own hands. detailed instructions

Pavilions made of stone, photos of the most original ideas we presented in the article, have been known to mankind since antiquity. Monumental buildings with majestic columns adorned the landscape of rich gardens and parks, and delighted vacationers with the nobility of lines and the perfection of forms. The tradition of installing stone pavilions on personal plots has been preserved to this day.

In this article, we will analyze in detail which stone to choose for construction, how to choose a place, consider the most successful of the stone, show you how to calculate the dimensions, and correctly combine materials. We will also give detailed instructions on how to build a stone gazebo with your own hands, starting with design and ending with the arrangement.

General issues

Despite the heaviness of the material, stone gazebos look elegant and light, they are durable and reliable, able to faithfully serve several generations. Competent design will allow you to create, which will become a favorite place for a good rest.

Stone arbors are built of various types: both open, or with a fireplace, as well as, from simple rectangular, multifaceted, round, to pretentiously curvilinear and even two-story.

A large gazebo made of rubble under a domed polycarbonate roof on a metal frame

As a rule, when a stone is combined with other materials:, or, they are decorated with forged elements and wooden openwork carvings. For the manufacture of small architectural forms, you can use any stone, but most often used:

  • marble, granite;
  • rubble stone: sandstone, limestone, dolomite, travertine;
  • artificial stone, polymer-composite material.

Issue price, design features

In its pure form, a gazebo made of stone is extremely rare, usually the structure is poured from reinforced concrete, and only then lined with stone. There are two reasons for this, firstly, a granite or marble gazebo will cost a pretty penny.

Exclusive stone gazebos, photo of handmade marble construction

But from natural stone, which literally “rolls” under your feet, you can lay out the building completely, but here you will have to face the peculiarities of the masonry technology, each stone will have to be carefully selected, and the rows will be tied together with a reinforcing mesh.

Good to know: The concrete frame will significantly reduce the time and financial costs of making a stone gazebo.

Stages of building a stone gazebo with your own hands

Stone is a heavy material, a do-it-yourself gazebo made of stone turns out to be massive, therefore it is recommended for such structures, or pile, with a grillage around the perimeter of a concrete non-buried tape.

As for the size of the building, it all depends on your needs and the functionality that you assign to the gazebo. For a quiet family holiday, a small design of 2 * 3 or 3 * 4 m is enough. If a stone one is planned, then it is better to make the room larger in order to equip a comfortable kitchen area.

Important: should be located at a distance of 5-8 m from the house, for fire safety purposes. You should also consider access roads in case of a structure fire.

Blueprints

Before proceeding, you need future construction. To foresee everything, you should work out the project point by point:

  1. Choose a place on the site, draw a plan with the designation of other buildings and perennial plantings.
  2. Decide on the size of the building, schematically fit it into the plan, here it is necessary to take into account the direction of the wind, and place the entrance on the leeward side.
  3. Designate the key nodes where the pillars will be located. It is better if the distance between them does not exceed 2 m.
  4. To make a sketch of a stone gazebo, it does not have to coincide with the main architectural group, but still it should overlap in detail.
  5. If it is planned from stone, then it is better to immediately decide on the place where the stove will be installed.

It remains only to prepare the material and begin the construction of the gazebo.

Foundation

Clear the site for construction, remove the soft fertile layer of soil. Install pegs around the perimeter, pull the rope, check the correct geometry of the structure: according to the rule of the Egyptian triangle (if 1 leg is 3 m, 2 leg is 4 m, then the hypotenuse is 5 m), or with a simple construction square.

Do not forget that the diagonals between the corners must be equal

Dig a trench around the perimeter, 400-500 mm wide, 300-700 mm deep. In the corners, under the pillars, deepen the pits with a drill 200 mm below the level of soil freezing, in each region this is its own parameter.

Advice: Instead of conventional metal poles, you can use new technologies and arrange screw piles, of course, they are somewhat more expensive, but in fact you will save on land work.

At the bottom of the trench and pits, pour 100 mm of crushed stone, 100 mm of sandstone, tamp the pillow. Now pour concrete 200-300 mm at the bottom of the pit, deepen the post in the solution, check the vertical, fix it with struts until the concrete sets, so as not to disturb the geometry.

When all posts are installed, pour concrete to the zero level of the strip base. Lay the formwork in the trench, then mount the frame from the reinforcement.

For tape, it is better to take corrugated rods with a cross section of 8-10 mm. In total, you should have 2 horizontal tiers: from below and from above, 2 parallel rows of reinforcement, the distance between them is 200-250 mm, smooth rods are suitable for vertical connection. Fasten everything with knitting wire, welding weakens the metal. In height, the distance between the horizontal tiers is 200-400 mm, it all depends on the height of the foundation.

Instead of pillars, you can make a high reinforcing frame, formwork and pour a concrete base, which is then laid out with facing stone

Lay stands on the pillow, 50 mm high, these can be ordinary stones, lay the frame on them. The thing is that the reinforcement must be completely deepened into the concrete, at least 50 mm on each side.

It remains only to pour concrete and wait 28 days until it is fully formed. On the seventh day, you can remove the formwork and make vertical waterproofing, glue it with roofing felt or coating type with bituminous mastic.

Important: For a stone gazebo with a barbecue, a separate foundation, slab or tape, not connected to the main base, should be poured under the stove. Backfilling the foundation for the furnace is best done with sandstone.

Where metal poles will be immersed in the ground, coat them with bituminous mastic or wrap them with roofing material

Walls and pillars

And if the pouring of the foundation for all types of construction is almost the same, then further construction technologies differ. In our case, we will describe how an open gazebo is built from rubble stone with our own hands.

Make a crate of boards or thick plywood; when knocked together, it should exactly repeat the dimensions of the stone pillar. When dry, lay out a layer of stones, they should fit snugly against each other so that there is almost no empty space left, carefully select the size and shape of the buta.

The mortar for laying the pillars must be identical to that of the foundation.

Take out the stones, carefully place them on the work surface, pour 50-100 mm of concrete into the crate (depending on the size of the stones), and re-lay the rubble already in the mortar. Next, we mount the second formwork above, and do the same operation, then the 3rd layer. Now we have to wait a day for the concrete to set.

For the outer layer, pick up beautiful stones, this will decorate the gazebo

When all the pillars are built to the desired height, it is 2.2-2.4 m, we close the gaps between the stones with a solution of cement and sandstone, the proportion of components is 1: 3.

Roof

Stone vertical racks are very durable, so they will withstand almost. The easiest way is to make the upper trim along the pole heads with a wooden beam with a section of 100 * 100 or 150 * 150 mm. Then install a hipped or hipped hipped roof. It is better to assemble the rafter system on the ground, see an example in the photo below, and then raise and strengthen it on poles. In order not to involve equipment, you can assemble individual farms and manage on your own.

For the rafter system, it is better to take an edged board with a section of 100 * 40-50 mm

Further, the rafters are closed with a waterproofing membrane, it is attached to brackets or a counter-lattice - thin slats are stuffed over the entire roof area in increments of 50-400 mm. If a soft roof is planned, then it will be necessary to sheathe the slopes with moisture-resistant plywood, and roofing material can be laid.

A solid wall or parapet is laid out in the same way as the pillars, all parts should be tied together, laying reinforcement every 3-4 rows

Stone produces the most reliable and very free from the shortcomings of metal or wood, strong, stylish, fireproof, not subject to aggressive chemical and biological attacks, not afraid of cold, heat, precipitation, and keeps cool even on very hot days.

For a comfortable stay, do not forget to carry engineering communications into the stone gazebo; you can or can enter open openings. And in order for the building to be an oasis of relaxation and aesthetic pleasure, be sure to equip paths and plant plants.

As soon as the snow melts and the first grass breaks through, people begin to make forays into nature. It is convenient to arrange traditional picnics with barbecue in the country, in a comfortable gazebo. with barbecue or - a great place to relax in the countryside. This design is bought ready-made, or a gazebo with a barbecue is being built with your own hands.

Varieties and features of gazebos with barbecue

The brazier is a rectangular metal structure in the form of a box on four legs. Mangals are distinguished:

  • stationary - massive structures that have a foundation and are made of stone, brick;

  • portable - lightweight mobile structures that can be installed anywhere.

A small portable barbecue grill allows you to cook barbecue anywhere

The choice of barbecue for the gazebo

Even at the design stage, you should decide on the type of barbecue. Exist:

  • compact collapsible designs that quickly unfold and fold into a suitcase;
On a note: these braziers are cheap, but quickly deform from strong heat.

Compact folding brazier

  • metal grills. These metal structures are light, reliable and durable. Steel walls withstand high temperatures, so fire can be kindled inside the box;

Metal barbecue equipment

  • brick grills. They look large and will last a long time, but they are heavy and laborious in execution;

Types of country arbors with barbecue

Since when cooking on the grill we are dealing with an open fire, the gazebo must be equipped in a certain way - the fire must be securely isolated.

There are different projects of gazebos with barbecue: large buildings equipped with a whole complex for cooking, or standard gazebos with a small barbecue. The final choice of one or another type depends on the owner of the site.

As for the material for building such a garden house, the most popular options are and. They are simple and economical to build.

Wooden structures are beautiful and environmentally friendly. Wood is an inexpensive material that can be easily processed, so you can build a wooden one with a barbecue with your own hands. This building has the following advantages:

  • presentable appearance;
  • construction speed;
  • low cost;
  • can be installed on a lightweight foundation.

Attention: when installing a barbecue in a wooden gazebo, take care of safety measures.

Garden houses made of wood are often made open or semi-open so that smoke can freely escape from the room. But there are also Finnish pavilions, closed wooden houses, in the center of which there is a grill. It sits on a stone tabletop. To prevent smoke from accumulating in the room, a special hood for the barbecue is installed in the gazebo.

A warm gazebo with barbecue, built according to Finnish technology, is ideal for our latitudes

If a wooden structure can be temporary, then a gazebo with a barbecue grill made of bricks is a capital structure. The material is not afraid of sparks and coal, in addition, it will last for many years without requiring special care. not only reliable, but also warm.

On a note: although a brick structure is more expensive than a wooden one, it has better performance and can be used even in the winter season.

It is durable and reliable. Structures made of stone will last for several decades, while they do not require special care.

Please note: and stone and brick buildings are quite heavy, so they require.

The best way to create a reliable and at the same time inexpensive gazebo is to use a combination of different materials. This will save money on construction, while improving the performance of the building. The photo gallery will demonstrate examples of the construction of combined gazebos with barbecue facilities.

The technology of building a gazebo with barbecue

How to make a garden house with an equipped place for barbecue? Consider building with a brick fireplace.

Design

Before starting construction, you should decide on the type of structure. Distinguish:

  • open buildings under a canopy, without any fences;
  • covered gazebos with barbecue - spacious capital structures like a house;
  • combined buildings of semi-open type.

Winter gazebos with barbecue - warm and cozy even in cold winter

Advice: you can use the barbecue at any time of the year, but even when choosing an open structure, make sure that there is a roof or canopy above it to protect it from wind and rain.

Preparatory work

The holiday home should be located in a comfortable and picturesque place. The best for these purposes is a flat clearing, located in the shade of trees, or next to a pond.

Preparation of materials

To build a building you will need:

  • clinker brick for a gazebo;
  • fireclay brick (refractory) for a stove with a barbecue;
  • cement mortar;
  • a metal plate for the hearth and gratings;
  • steel fittings;
  • hammer, nails, chisel, shovel, saw, level.

Foundation laying

For a brick structure you need to lay. The most suitable option would be a strip reinforced foundation, the size of which depends on the dimensions of the brazier itself, as well as how many people should fit in the gazebo.

Attention: the optimal height of the foundation above the ground level is 30 cm, the depth of occurrence is about 40 cm.

Construction of a street gazebo with a barbecue in stages

A layer of waterproofing is applied to the foundation, and then proceed to the construction of walls. Brick laying starts from the entrance opening and continues along the entire perimeter.

Building brick walls

Advice: if you want to reduce the weight of the structure, use a hollow brick.

Laying is carried out until the walls reach the required height. The evenness of each row is checked with a building level. Then, wooden racks are installed on brick pillars and they begin to form a truss system for a hipped roof.

Closing the base of the brazier and firewood

Formation of the furnace compartment

On a note: you can put a cast iron stove with removable rings if you plan to use a cast iron and a cauldron.

The edges of the countertop are laid out from fireclay bricks. It is laid exclusively on a refractory mixture.

Tabletop decoration

Further, from such a je refractory brick, the stoves are formed, and metal grates and a pallet are installed in the brazier. Then proceed to the conclusion of the chimneys. To have the best draft, the chimney is made three-channel.

The construction of the upper part of the stove and chimney

When the arch of the furnace is ready, arches are formed from bricks over the brazier and the hob. Such elements will give the design a more sophisticated look.

To equip a comfortable and functional place to relax on a garden plot, one gazebo is not enough. It's so delicious to eat dishes cooked in the fresh air. For these purposes, a brazier is equipped. It can be a compact portable design, or a brazier-stove installed in the gazebo. You can buy a ready-made fixture, or make it yourself using our instructions.

The aroma of meat cooked on a fire will not leave anyone indifferent, so more and more owners of country houses are thinking about building a barbecue. Looking at a photo of a gazebo with a barbecue in magazines or on specialized sites, it is not easy to make your choice.

In this article, we will introduce you to the main types of garden houses with a barbecue, advise you on how to choose a project and make a building drawing, as well as build and equip a pavilion with a stove with your own hands. And what home-made gazebos with a barbecue can be, the photo gallery will demonstrate clearly.

How to build a gazebo with a barbecue on your own

If you spend a lot of time outside the city with your family or a group of friends, then a gazebo with barbecue or barbecue is what you need. This building will not only protect from the weather, but will also be a great place to relax, decorate your garden plot.

We determine the type of construction of a gazebo with barbecue and barbecue

There are many options for building garden houses with barbecues. Most often, open structures are erected for summer cottages (without main walls), under a canopy-roof.

On a note: such buildings create a special feeling of closeness to nature, but they can only be used in the warm season.

Closed buildings are more versatile. A glazed gazebo with a barbecue can be used even in winter, as it is well protected from the influence of weather factors.

Comfortable and compact Finnish pavilions with a barbecue allow you to have a good rest at any time of the year

materials

Since the barbecue oven involves the use of open fire, the materials for the construction of such a gazebo must be reliable, resistant to fire and high temperatures.

The most suitable option is brick or stone buildings. These are beautiful centuries-old buildings that are not afraid of wind, rain or fire.

Please note: arbors made of brick or stone are reliable and durable, but they are more labor-intensive in execution and cost more than wooden counterparts.

Garden wooden houses with barbecue facilities (made of timber, logs, boards) are popular. These buildings are light, therefore they are built on a lightweight foundation. They are also economical because wood is inexpensive.

Advice: you should not be afraid for the safety of such a building; special impregnations are used to protect it from moisture and fire.

Arbors made of logs with a barbecue look very colorful

Metal constructions are reliable and durable. For the construction of the frame of the gazebo, a profile pipe or a metal corner is used, and for decorating the building - polycarbonate, glass inserts.

In addition to the barbecue itself, a table with chairs or benches is placed in the gazebo.

Advice: it is necessary that the barbecue in the gazebo is correctly located - it does not take up much space, it is convenient to use it, it is at a safe distance from the recreation area.

Most often, a barbecue is located in the center of the house, or against the far wall.

Step-by-step construction of a garden gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands

We draw up a project

How to build a gazebo with barbecue? The construction of the building is preceded by drawing up a drawing. At this stage, the dimensions of the house with a barbecue are determined. The dimensions of the structure depend on how many people are planned to be placed there and what furniture to arrange. The optimal size of a garden house is 2-3 m in diameter.

Recommendation: if you can’t draw up a construction plan yourself, you can use ready-made sketches available on specialized sites.

Options for barbecue projects in the gazebo, photo

Wooden houses can be of various designs and styles. Therefore, before you build a gazebo, you should decide how it will look like: it can be a small building with a brazier and a dining area, an open building for seasonal use, a capital building that has several zones (for cooking and eating, rest zone).

Remember: a gazebo of a closed type with a barbecue requires the construction of a strong foundation.

Photo of closed gazebos with a barbecue built of wood

The standard design of the gazebo includes a podium, a porch, columns, a barbecue and a cutting table. But you can make your own adjustments to the project so that your building is both beautiful and functional.

Choosing a building site

After choosing a construction project, it is necessary to decide on a place for construction. It should be located close to the house so that dishes and food can be taken out of the kitchen, but not too close so that the smoke from the barbecue in the gazebo does not enter the house. For fire safety purposes, there must be free space around the stove (at least 3 m).

Attention: a gazebo with a barbecue should be at a safe distance from power lines, gas pipelines, trees.

Foundation laying

For a garden house of any type, a foundation is needed. This is the base of the structure, which gives it additional stability. For a wooden building, it will be enough to lay a columnar foundation.

Materials and tools for work

To build a garden gazebo with a barbecue, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • durable wood (pine, oak, birch);
  • brick (ordinary and refractory);
  • roofing material;
  • concrete, crushed stone;
  • cast iron plate, two steel sheets 5 mm thick, grate, reinforcing bar with a diameter of 30 mm;
  • saw and jigsaw;
  • hammer, nails;
  • chisel;
  • milling cutter;
  • Sander.

Construction

First, pits are dug in the corners and in the center of each long side of the building. Crushed stone is poured on their bottom, and then support pillars are installed and poured with concrete. Their optimal width is 15 * 15 cm, and the length is about 3 m.

Advice: the lower part of the column, which is to be poured, is pre-treated with bitumen to protect it from moisture.

The foundation should dry for at least 2-3 days. Only after that proceed to the implementation of the lower strapping.

Clearing the site for construction and marking the territory

Important: before installation, all wooden parts should be impregnated with a moisture-protecting agent.

The floor of the gazebo with a barbecue can be poured with concrete or paved with paving slabs. In the place where the stove will be located, it is better to install a metal plate.

Choosing and installing a barbecue

There are various types of braziers for a garden gazebo: portable, forged stationary ... But the most interesting option is a brick stove.

The compact brick oven will last for many years, and the meat cooked in it is incredibly tasty.

The construction of a barbecue in the gazebo begins with the study of order. This is a special detailed layout of the laying of each row of bricks. First, marking is done, and then row after row is laid out sequentially.

Attention: for masonry, fireclay type clay or a refractory mixture should be used.

Do-it-yourself order for the construction of a furnace complex

After the 6th row, a grate for the stove is laid, after the 8th - a steel sheet to cover the firewood. After the 11th row, a cast-iron stove is installed for the stove, and after the 23rd, a steel floor sheet is installed.

On a note: to form some barbecue elements, the brick must be cut. If before that it is soaked for 5 minutes in water, it will greatly simplify cutting.

From the 12th row, they begin to form a space for the barbecue, the upper part of which will subsequently be decorated with a brick arch. Next, a chimney is formed, which is led out through the roof of the gazebo.

General view of the barbecue oven, diagram

After the construction of the structure, metal doors and gratings are installed. This will give the building a complete aesthetic look.

Decoration and decor

After completion of construction, proceed to the decoration of the garden house. An open-type building can be decorated with carved lattices, climbing plants can be planted near it. In a closed structure, the wood is covered with a moisture-proof composition, and then varnished.

Outcome

A modern gazebo with a barbecue is a great way to relax and enjoy delicious and healthy food cooked on an open fire. This building is also convenient because it protects from rain and wind. Having built and equipped a garden house with a barbecue with your own hands, you will get a comfortable place to relax and make your site more attractive.

Any country cottage or dacha is intended not only for gardening, they also mean a pleasant outdoor recreation. A self-made gazebo with a barbecue will become a favorite meeting place with friends and family.

The possible designs of summer terraces and the types of stoves for them are described in the article "". Here we will consider the methods of their construction using the example of the simplest structures.

Before building any structure, it is necessary to draw up a project and make a drawing. It is necessary to take into account the place allotted for construction. It is better if it is at a short distance from the residential building, so that it is convenient to carry food, dishes and furniture there.

At the same time, you can’t build a terrace too close to the dacha and the neighboring plot, otherwise the smoke from the barbecue will interfere with the quiet rest of the company, and the neighbors may not like the noise of fun.

The construction of all buildings and structures consists of several mandatory stages:

  • laying the foundation;
  • walling;
  • roof installation.

The choice of the type of foundation and its device

For summer arbors, the following types of bases are suitable:

  • The pile support is able to withstand the load of light structures, such as a wooden or metal-framed terrace.
  • The slab base is suitable for more weighty structures, for example, for an open-type stone gazebo.
  • necessary for a massive winter-type building, for example, made of brick.

It is important to understand that a stone oven is a rather heavy structure that requires a monolithic base. When using piles or a strip-type foundation as a support, it is necessary to pour a concrete base in the place where the hearth will be installed, and in accordance with its dimensions. A reinforced concrete layer 15–20 cm thick is sufficient. A solid slab is able to cope with the load from the furnace without reinforcement.

Pile foundation installation

If a decision is made to build a gazebo made of wood or metal in the country, you can make a foundation of piles. To do this, prepare four holes in the ground at the corners of the future building (it is convenient to use a drill). A layer of sand and gravel is poured to the bottom, formwork is made of plywood or boards, metal rods are fixed for reinforcement. Inside, a pillar made of metal or wood is installed in the center and concrete is poured around it.

Thematic material:

There is a more convenient and easier option to build a pile foundation - to lay an asbestos-cement pipe in the holes. And pour concrete into it. This method does not require the construction of formwork and material for the base pillar.

In addition, piles can be installed ready-made - in the form of solid reinforced concrete supports. This is much faster, but will require lifting equipment to transport and stack them.

A beam or a metal profile is placed on a frozen pile-type base and a frame is made in the form of a square. From this frame, the subsequent erection of walls is carried out.

Solid slab as foundation

For a slab base, it is necessary to remove the top layer of soil on the entire construction site. Here you need to take into account that it is better to make a slab larger in area than according to the design of the gazebo. It is good if the base protrudes 30-40 centimeters beyond the walls of the terrace. Such a blind area will prevent rotting and corrosion of materials.

After removing 30–40 cm of the upper layer, sand is poured into the resulting depression and rammed, then crushed stone comes. Lay metal reinforcement along the bottom of the pit. It is evenly poured with concrete so that the height of the slab is 15–20 cm above ground level.

Tape type foundation

Solid gazebos need a solid foundation. For him, they dig a trench around the perimeter of the structure. The soil is rammed, sand and gravel fall asleep. Then formwork and reinforcement are made, concrete is poured. The formwork is removed only after the mortar has solidified, and the frame of the gazebo is welded to the protruding ends of the reinforcement.

After the construction of the foundation, it is necessary to lay a waterproofing layer. It can be any rolled protection (roofing material, roofing felt, dense polyethylene) or coating with bituminous mastic. There should be no direct contact of concrete parts with other materials - in order to avoid them getting wet.

Construction of wooden walls

The next step is the construction of load-bearing racks and their strapping. The most common option is wooden walls. The cost of the material is low, and wood, due to its versatility, will fit perfectly into the design of a site of any style.

As racks, a square beam of at least 15 × 15 cm or round logs is used. The bars connected along the perimeter of the foundation (base - square, circle, polygon) are fixed with anchor bolts. This is the bottom harness.

Logs are placed on it - the base for the floor, wood with a section of 10 × 10 cm. The columns are installed strictly vertically. For greater rigidity, you need to repeat the strapping with a beam at a distance of 1–1.5 meters from ground level. You can strengthen the structure with diagonal bars. The height of the columns must be at least 2.5 meters.

Along the edge of the vertical racks, you need to make an upper harness. It will be supported by rafters - the bearing part of the roof.

The walls can be sheathed with boards, built from logs, or left one or all sides of the gazebo open. Looks good . It protects well from the sun and.

When working with wood, it is important to remember its features, such as:

  • Easy flammability - near the barbecue, you need to cover the wooden walls and the floor with a metal sheet, and treat the entire gazebo with a flame retardant.
  • Susceptibility to rotting - the structure should be impregnated with warm drying oil and painted with oil paint or varnished. Every year you need to do an audit: check the condition of the tree, and repaint the damaged areas.

Thematic material:

How to assemble a metal frame

It is also quite simple to build a gazebo from metal. You will need a welding machine and the ability to use it.

The lower trim is made of a metal profile 10 × 10 cm. The supports are attached to concrete with anchors or welded to reinforcement sticking out of the foundation, and vertical posts to them. For reinforcement, metal corners are attached to their lower and upper parts.

The rigidity of the structure is given in the same way as for wooden buildings - with inclined beams and re-binding. The base for the roof rafters is welded to the top of the racks.

The metal also needs protection from the harmful effects of the environment. After all, he is afraid of moisture and is prone to corrosion. Therefore, all metal parts are primed and painted.

If the owner decided to do it, in which they will fry kebabs in winter, then the metal frame is sheathed. Siding can be fixed outside, and wood or plywood is suitable for interior decoration. There is plenty of room for experimentation and imagination.

Thematic material:

You just need to remember about the flammability of some building materials. They should be protected from sparks from the stove. It is very easy to insulate such an arbor - mineral wool must be laid between two layers of sheathing. Then no cold is terrible!

Pergola made of brick or stone

Of course, the construction of a stone gazebo is rightfully considered the most costly and time-consuming. But it is the most durable and durable, besides, you do not need to constantly monitor the condition of the masonry, because it is not afraid of either rain or snow.

A brick is laid on the strip foundation after the insulating layer, in accordance with the project. It can be a building of four columns with a roof or a structure of one wall, which has a stove and a cutting table. And you can fold the whole house with windows and a door.

Roofing - the final stage

The roof of the gazebo should match its general style, be light and functional (protect from rain and sun). Any configuration will do: pitched, ridge, tent, oriental and many others.

To install a brazier, it is necessary to provide a hole in the roof for a chimney. It is good to make a metal umbrella over the pipe - it will protect from rain, and barbecue can be fried in any weather.

supplementary article:

Roof lining material should be lightweight. That's all the requirements for it. Can choose:

  • flexible tiles;
  • metal profile;
  • sheet iron.
  • It is more convenient to assemble the roof tent at the bottom, and then raise it and install it in place. But you will need a lift. If there is no such device, the roof is assembled from above, on the rafters.

    How to make a stove or barbecue?

    It is easy to weld a brazier for frying kebabs from thick sheet metal, this does not require special skills. Such a device is often made portable. You can install it in an existing gazebo, and in a newly built one.

    There is a variant of its brickwork, for which a rectangular base-cabinet is being prepared. Its width should be less than the skewer, and the length will be enough about 1.2 meters. The height of the cabinet is about 0.8–0.9 m, this value depends on the growth of the owner.

    Complementary material:

    Such a brazier can be built at the stage of building walls, providing for a smoke exhaust system and supplying it with an exhaust hood or a pipe in the form of a dome.

    A (solid) rectangle of refractory bricks is laid out on the base - it is not cemented. The stones of the sides are also laid, without connecting them with a solution, which will greatly facilitate the process of cleaning from the ashes.

    It is more difficult to build a real stove; some professional skills will come in handy here. The main thing is to provide the hearth with its own, separate from the general, foundation. The oven should be assembled immediately after the concrete has hardened; it can be erected simultaneously with vertical supports.

    You need to remember about the chimney, which in summer terraces is often made instead of one of the columns. It is better to build a firebox from thick metal, so it will be more convenient to maintain it.

    The correct design of the chimney, dampers, hoods is important. They support the flame and help the fuel flare up - they create traction.

    Regardless of the chosen option for a gazebo equipped with a stove, its construction will take time and material costs. The entire project must be analyzed at the initial stage and an estimate should be made so that the terrace does not turn into a “long-term construction”. A competent approach to business - and independent construction will become a pleasure, and the result - a source of pride!

    Several interesting projects

    Video: building a gazebo with a do-it-yourself oven

    A durable and beautiful building on a summer cottage - a gazebo with brick walls. In order for the design to meet these conditions, it is necessary to follow simple rules when erecting a fence.

    1. To withstand dressing during the construction process. This means that the vertical seams in two rows in a row do not match. A half-brick wall for a gazebo is usually sufficient.
    2. Perform reinforcement. For reinforcement, class B1 wire with a diameter of 3 mm is used. Reinforcement is carried out with individual rods. You can use a welded mesh. The wire is embedded completely in the solution to avoid corrosion. Every 5th row of masonry is subject to reinforcement. Particular attention is paid to the corners of the building.

    By following a simple instruction, remarkable results are achieved.

    Having conceived the construction of such a structure, you should immediately take care of the plan, which must be drawn up in full accordance with the size of the future structure and its geometry. This will help you accurately budget for all the necessary materials.

    As an example, we offer step-by-step instructions for building a gazebo with a barbecue in various ways. This will help in organizing your own construction and set the right direction for the entire event.

    DIY wooden gazebo with barbecue

    And first we will consider an example when the gazebo is made of lumber, and the brazier is made of bricks. Immediately important advice: look for a 6-meter beam and a board. This way there will be much less waste.

    The first point of building a gazebo made of wood with a barbecue with your own hands is the choice of a building site and its configuration. We take into account several important points:

    • Entrance to the house and the entrance to the gazebo should look at each other (it’s more convenient to set the table).
    • We reckon with the rules fire safety. There will be a brazier with an open fire in the gazebo, you should not build it very close to the house.

    Having decided on the place, with the help of building sand we outline circuit foundations of the building. Our drawings of a gazebo with barbecue suggest that the gazebo will be octagonal, and the base under it will be in the shape of a circle. You can “draw” a circle using a pipe fixed in the ground and a rope tied to it.

    In our case, the fertile soil layer was only about 20 cm thick. It was followed by excellent clay soil. The building is relatively small, so concrete columns were chosen as the base. It is better to choose the land under them and replace it with a sand and gravel mixture. This way you can adjust the height.

    material for bottom strapping serves as a bar with a section of 100x100 mm. In order not to make a mistake with the cutting angles, use a cardboard template. For the device of transverse beams, it is better to use a board 50x100. To give the strapping reliability, it can be fastened with metal corners inside and out. Galvanized 105x105x90x2 mm at 135 and 90 degrees are perfect. Do not forget about the waterproofing layer of roofing material between the base posts and the strapping.

    Do-it-yourself gazebos with barbecue step by step photos

    Floor in the gazebo is made of edged boards 50x100. We immediately cut the right amount of material to size. On the front side, it is better to plan the board with a planer, and from the inside - treat it with an antiseptic (preferably in several layers). We fix the floor with a screw and be sure to check the bottom trim again with a level.

    Top harness it is more convenient to build below. So it will be more convenient to adjust the locks and the lengths of the rafters. We use the same edged board 50x100 as the material for the rafters and the upper strapping.

    In our case, a do-it-yourself wooden gazebo with barbecue has octagonal roof. Therefore, the lock of the rafters will also be octagonal. We carry it out from a bar 100x100. Pay attention to the placement of supports under the timber. To install them, the octahedron had to be enlarged with boards 1.5 cm thick.

    Arbors with barbecue with their own hands. Photo

    Let's move on to production rafters. We carry out a triangular cut at the lower attachment point. We will use it as the bottom lock.

    Like the upper bundle, we also assemble the truss structure at the bottom. It will be easier to correct minor flaws.

    Our drawings of a gazebo with a barbecue provide for the installation of ten support pillars. We make them from a bar 100x100. To make it more convenient to carry out their installation, we saw off the ends exactly at an angle of 90 degrees. We fasten the posts to the base of the gazebo with the help of corners 105x105x90x2 mm made of galvanized steel. Checking the design with a level. In our case, the installation of slopes was not required.

    Now we are installing the truss system and the upper harness. For fastening we need:

    Roof made of an inch board with a width of 100 and 150 mm. We lay it close; start from the bottom and go in a circle to the top point of the structure. For ease of marking, we use a cardboard template. It makes it easier to mark the cut line. We fasten each board with two self-tapping screws on each side. So the roof does not deform over time.

    Let's not forget about brick brazier with their own hands, which will be in the gazebo. We dig a hole under the foundation of the barbecue with a depth of 40 cm.

    formwork can be made from boards from transport pallets.

    We cover the formwork ruberoid. The most convenient way to do this is with a construction stapler.

    We put reinforcement (rods 10 mm class A3) and reinforcing mesh (d = 4, 100x100 mm) into the pit under the foundation. We fill the foundation with a mixture of cement and building sand in a ratio of 1 to 3. Cement grade M 250 is ideal. In our case, it took 5 bags.

    After that, you can sew up the gazebo around the perimeter log simulator 45x146 mm. This will not only make the building more attractive, but also add rigidity to the frame.

    window sills We carry out from the board 50x100 mm. To fix them, we use corners 50x50x40x2 mm. This part of the design is optional, but it will make the gazebo more comfortable for guests.

    Foundations benches we make from a bar 50x50. We fasten them at an angle to the walls using corners 50x50x40x2 mm. This is the most durable and ergonomic design option.

    The material for the manufacture of the upper part of the benches is a grooved board 28x121 mm. To increase strength, all benches are connected from the ends with plates 80x40x2 mm.

    To visually divide the gazebo into two functional zones, we decorate the barbecue side wooden lattice. A beam of 15x20 mm is well suited for its manufacture.

    On this work on the gazebo comes to an end and you can proceed to the construction barbecue made of bricks with your own hands.

    The simpler the design, the easier it is to install it without errors. Therefore, it is better to use simple brick barbecue drawings without frills. For the construction you will need:

    For proper and accurate masonry, a number of conditions must be met. First, the solution should not be too thick. After installation, the brick should be easily adjusted by hand. Secondly, the ideal seam is 3 mm thick. This must be achieved in order for the structure to be as strong as possible. Be sure to observe the same thickness of the seam throughout the structure. Third, don't rush. Laying is carried out strictly according to the level. On this, the step-by-step instructions for building a barbecue grill made of bricks in a wooden gazebo can be completed. The whole sequence of masonry can be clearly seen in the photographs.

    Brazier made of bricks in the gazebo. Photo

    It remains only to cover the roof shingles(in the example, Shinglas red tiles were used) with the help of nails and a construction stapler, and treat the gazebo with an antiseptic and varnish. We apply antiseptic in two layers. A glossy yacht varnish is well suited as a varnish.

    Brick gazebo with barbecue and barbecue

    For those who are more of a bricklayer than a carpenter at heart, we offer step-by-step instructions for building a gazebo with a brick barbecue. Let's skip the stages of finding a place and marking for a structure. All this has been described above. Let's get straight to the point.

    Construction of a brick gazebo with barbecue. Step by step instructions

    The brick structure will weigh quite a lot, so this time foundation must be made solid and reinforced. After it is ready, we carry out the laying of the walls.

    The rafter system can be made in the same way as for a wooden gazebo.

    The first row is better to lay out on a dry one.

    We are building firewood. It will also be the basis for the barbecue and smokehouse.

    We continue to lay out a brick barbecue with our own hands. Next in line is the firebox and countertop. Optionally, you can arrange a niche for dishes.

    A gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands. Step by step photos

    For the cauldron, we need to install stove. The version with removable rings is shown below.

    The base of the barbecue is ready. It's time to lay out the countertop fireclay bricks.

    In masonry, we must use refractory mix.

    The next stage in the construction of a gazebo with a brick barbecue with your own hands is the organization chimney and forming a channel for the smokehouse.

    In our gazebo there will be Russian stove. We form for her under.

    Each row must be reinforced wire.

    We lay the walls at the same time. We check the accuracy of the work with the help of a level.

    Finishing the oven vault.

    In our case, the rear wall of the oven had to be pulled out.

    The work will take quite a lot of time, but progress will warm the soul.

    We continue to build a brick barbecue with our own hands. We install the doors smokehouses. We finish the arches above the barbecue, hob and stove.

    The stitching can always be entrusted to an assistant.

    Above the stove can be installed stainless steel mesh. In the future, it will be good to dry berries and mushrooms or dishes on it.

    How to sew up the roof, we have already told above.

    Gazebo with barbecue and barbecue with their own hands. Photo

    This concludes the step-by-step instructions for building a brick barbecue. The pavilion-barbecue complex is ready for delivery.

    We bring water to the sink at the back of the gazebo. It can be closed for the winter.

    pipe make it three-channel. So the traction will be more stable.

    Do not forget to cover the entire masonry with a special impregnation with water-repellent effect.

    It will take about a week to dry the structure. On this, the construction of a gazebo with a barbecue made of bricks with their own hands is completed.

    Homemade brick brazier. Step by step instructions

    Mangal with his own hands. Blueprints

    We begin the construction of a brick structure with a strong device foundation. We select the size in accordance with the size of the future barbecue.

    We dig a pit at the chosen place. We arrange formwork along its edges (it can be made, for example, from boards from pallets). We pour concrete and reinforce the base. It will take 1-2 weeks for complete curing.

    Base ready and you can start building the barbecue.

    Drawing up drawings and plans is a useful thing. They will help you make an accurate estimate. Here is a sample list of required materials:

    • Refractory brick;
    • Wire for masonry reinforcement;
    • Sand and cement;
    • Corners made of galvanized metal;
    • Mesh or reinforcing bars;
    • Lime.

    Do-it-yourself brick brazier. Photo

    For preliminary calculations, lay out the bricks as they should lie in the structure. Now it is clear where the masonry seams will be and how many halves and quarters of the brick will be needed.

    The material absorbs moisture very well. Therefore, it is better to put under a brick waterproofing material. A couple of layers of roofing material is fine.

    It's time to start building the brazier.

    Cooking solution. To do this, mix cement, sand and slaked lime in a ratio of 1: 3: 0.25. We will lay out the prepared brick ahead of time on the resulting mixture.

    Laying will require accuracy, attention and patience. We follow the seams, we level the bricks according to the level.

    The technology of work requires laying rows in checkerboard pattern. We focus on the first row, start laying from the corner, gradually filling the side space.

    The brazier will be exposed to high temperatures. Therefore, it is better to lay the second row with the help of a clay-chamotte mixture.

    To make the base for the brazier, you need to install the rods fittings between opposite walls. The base of the firebox is installed on them. For example, it can be a metal pallet.

    The combustion process requires a constant supply of oxygen. To do this, it is necessary to leave several gaps without mortar in the laying of the firebox.

    It remains to install the grate on the rods or ledges (depending on the masonry of the brazier) and select the countertop.

    Brick barbecue in the country

    Brick barbecue - ideal for a summer cottage. This is a simple, comfortable and reliable design that looks quite presentable.

    We offer a detailed guide that will help even a person inexperienced in construction to build such a building as soon as possible.

    The first stage of work is the preparation detailed plan. We will give only an approximate scheme of the structure. You must take into account the features of your own stove, its appearance, decor elements, and so on.

    Ordering a brazier made of bricks. Photo

    Do not forget about the niche for firewood and coal. We calculate a place for the grill at a height of 65-70 cm from the ground. The stove should be placed 10 cm lower.

    Bricklaying for barbecue. Photo

    After working with a pencil and a ruler, you can proceed to the practical part. As in the previous instructions, we start with foundation.

    Under the barbecue, the same foundation is suitable as under the barbecue. This is a monolithic reinforced base. We dig a pit for him about half a meter deep. We cover the bottom with a layer of a mixture of gravel and crushed stone, water and ram.

    We carry out the installation of reinforcement, form the frame. All that's left to do is formwork. Now you can move on to pouring the base with concrete.

    The foundation will take up to two weeks to dry completely. A little patience and you can move on to building a brick barbecue.

    Chamotte brick - ideal for masonry ovens. It won't hit your pocket too hard, but it's strong enough and can withstand high temperatures. We prepare cement, building sand, and red clay in advance. They are necessary to create a solution. Fill the clay with water ahead of time and hold it for several days.

    Having prepared the solution, you can proceed to the masonry. We work slowly, according to the plan, lay out row after row. We constantly control the masonry with the help of a level.

    Lay out first pedestal barbecue ovens. It should not be too high (up to 70 cm).

    Lay out the second row, shifting the beginning of the tier by half a brick.

    Having reached the furnace, keep in mind that its depth must be at least three bricks, and its length must be at least six. We use fireclay bricks. We install reinforcement bars on the ceilings.

    The next step is building chimney. If the scheme is drawn up correctly, then there will be no problems. When laying the rows, do not forget to make a "chimney tooth" on the back wall of the stove. It will significantly improve the draft in the pipe.

    It remains only to add decorative elements and clean the masonry from mortar splashes and other construction debris. You can decorate a barbecue with paint applied to a brick. This will visually highlight the seams of the structure. In general, the design has already been completed and can be used for its intended purpose.

    Do-it-yourself barbecue from a barrel

    If there is not much space on the site to arrange a gazebo with a barbecue, you can always make a barbecue from a barrel with your own hands. For this we need:

    • Metal barrel (preferably food);
    • Paintwork materials (primer, paint);
    • Brackets and loops for fastenings;
    • Chimney pipe.

    We will install the barbecue on a special structure. To make it, we need pipes of small diameter (up to 50 mm) and boards. In the process, you will need the following tools:

    • Drill with a set of drills;
    • Angle grinder;
    • Measuring tape measure;
    • Set of wrenches;
    • Fastening elements (clamps, bolts).

    The preparation process is completed and you can start production. We cut in the side of our barrels rectangular hole, as shown in the photo.

    Now we need 6 pipes small diameter. If they are concreted, then cut with a grinder. From 4 pipes we will make the legs of the structure on which the arbecue will stand.

    Barbecue from a barrel. Photo

    The remaining two pipes are used to connect each pair of legs. To fix the structure, we use bolts.

    They will fix the position of our barrel. The length of the pipes is adjustable depending on the size of the barrel. The result should be a two-piece structure, each of which will consist of a pair of legs and a connecting pipe.

    To connect the two parts, you need to take 5 boards 150-200 mm wide. We use four of them to fix the legs (two boards on each side). We fix one board at a height of 5-10 cm from the ground. The second should be slightly above the middle of the legs.

    Using a drill, we drill holes in the boards with a diameter equal to the diameter of the leg pipes. We install the structure upside down and install the boards on the legs. In our case, bolt clamps were used to fix the boards at the desired level. We turn the structure over and the boards fall into place, preventing the legs of the structure from moving apart.

    We use the last board to connect the upper tier of boards. This is the final touch in the creation grounds for barbecue. Now a barbecue from a barrel with your own hands can be installed in its place.

    The next stage of work is the arrangement of the barrel. For cooking we need lattice. To fix it inside the structure, we install a pair of brackets on each side with bolts.

    We recall that piece of the barrel that we cut out at the very beginning. We will make a barbecue cover from it. We install the hinges and fasten it back to the barrel. The grille brackets will prevent the lid from falling in when closed.

    Anything can be used as a handle for the lid of the structure, for example, a shovel handle.

    After installing the lid, thoroughly wash the barrel.

    At the end of the barrel we drill holes for ventilation and make a shutter for them.

    After that you can fix chimney and paint the barbecue.

    This concludes the step-by-step instructions for building a metal barbecue.

    Projects of gazebos with barbecue

    There can be many variations of wooden gazebos with barbecue facilities. This variant has an octagonal base and open walls on one side. There is enough light in the gazebo, and benches and a table can be installed as needed.

    It is not at all necessary to make the entire gazebo completely out of brick. A feature of this gazebo are forged elements from which the walls are made. The design looks light and is naturally lit from all sides.

    Even if there is not much space on the site, you can always build a canopy and decorate the walls with ordinary boards. This version of the gazebo with a brick barbecue will fit in a very small area.

    If time and resources allow, then on your site you can build a real work of building art. A wooden gazebo with a brick barbecue, stove and countertop, decorated with tiles, looks rich. Although its device will require not so much time.

    A large family needs a lot of space. It is better to do without the construction of bulky walls, and build a canopy and a brick brazier with a countertop under it on a reinforced durable foundation.
