In the last post, many complained that there is not enough space, nothing fits, nowhere to put it, nothing to wear, everything is logical :-) And here our conversation can be made very short.
*suddenly in a scary voice* THROW OUT everything you don’t need and everything you don’t wear, and you’ll have space in even the smallest closet. And something tells me that at this point you will mentally send me to hell :-) Who will part with their dear, valuable, found by the sweat of their brow at a sale and torn from the hands of a competitor. I’m like that myself, I’ve been walking around the closet for a month now, and most importantly, I know very clearly that I need to throw it away or give it away, but my hand doesn’t rise. My treasures! :-) But we will discuss the topic of throwing away in detail, and today we’ll talk about how not to get completely bogged down in a pile of clothes and shoes, and how to organize it all. I scoured the sites and found different storage ideas. I will also try to answer the questions that came up in that post. I won’t help with just one thing, I won’t lend you money for a new wardrobe and a bigger apartment, I wish someone would give it to me :-)

1. All things on hangers and at the same time, each on its own, in no case in layers - this, of course, is an ideal that is unattainable for many. But if there is such an opportunity, then it is better to hang everything, even tank tops. At the same time, it is good that the hangers are equally thin, this way you can save space. The only thing is jackets, it’s better to choose special hangers for them, otherwise things will lose their shape. There are some heavy knitted items that are best stored on a shelf to prevent them from stretching out, but they are in the minority. There are hangers like this, they save a little space in the closet, and at the same time things remain in sight.

To prevent things from sliding off the hanger, you can glue the following tape: 
If possible, hang a hanging rod in two rows, hang skirts, trousers, jeans on the lower rod, and blouses, tops, sweaters, cardigans on the upper rod. And sort it all by type of clothing, blouses to blouses, trousers to trousers. Plus, don’t forget to leave room for long items and don’t put a barbell underneath them: dresses, maxi skirts, coats, and raincoats will go here. 
You can also sort by capsules, in one corner everything is for sports, in another - for the office, in the third - recreation, if there is a clear division of things into different categories, of course.
You can also sort by color, and I thought about this option for myself, but I realized that this would not help me much in choosing clothes in the morning. Moreover, in my closet there is a tendency to reduce the number of colors, I come to the conclusion that 2-3 basic and 2-3 bright colors in the closet are quite enough. It is not necessary for the closet to look like a rainbow. Still, there’s nothing to wear with half of it. 
2. Pull-out shelves are very convenient. The main thing is not to put small things there, such as underwear and socks; when the shelf is pulled out, they will fall back onto the shelf at a lower level. I have three stacks of things on my shelf, two in front and one across the back, usually things for the next season in the back. That is, if it’s summer, then in front are T-shirts, tops, thin sweaters, T-shirts, and in the back are thicker sweaters, woolen items. 
3. It is better to put laundry in drawers. Socks, tights, and knee socks can be stored in pull-out baskets. Immediately after washing, I sort the knee socks and socks and roll them into a ball in pairs, otherwise you won’t find them later; you can use the dividers, both built-in ones and those in the last two pictures from Ikea. 
4. When space is really bad, it makes sense to completely remove things from the closet until the next fall-winter, for example, or spring-summer. You can put things in zippered drawers and put them under the bed. 
The main thing is to understand what things you definitely won’t need. Down jackets, fur coats and other warm clothes can be safely put away for the summer, but a warm cardigan can come in handy on a cold summer evening, so it can be folded second row on the shelf.
Vacuum bags are also a lifesaver; they are good for storing things that are large or small, pregnant items, if you plan to return to them. You can also go there with something that is out of fashion; in 30 years your daughter or son will get it and it will be “vintage” for them :-) 
5. Shoes can be stored in boxes, or in transparent ones so that you can see what’s in them, or you can paste photos onto regular boxes. 
You can store it on shelves, but it doesn’t seem practical to me, and the sizes of shoes are different, and it’s not the best option for boots, and it’s not particularly hygienic; it’s better to put bags in such niches.

The shoes that we wear now are laid out in a special shoe closet in the hallway. Often in such closets there is space for one row of shoes; it is better to buy two at once.

Open storage is only permissible in the kitchen and bathroom, that is, where there are items that are simply inconvenient to put away in cabinets several times a day.

To see if your kitchen storage is well organized, do a Sunday shopping test. Let's imagine that you are bringing home a supply of groceries and household chemicals for the next week or even several. If you can't organize everything into cabinets so that you can still access every package, then it's time to change something.
Small kitchens usually want to be kept as spacious as possible, so as not to further reduce the space with an abundance of items. In this case, a good solution would be a cabinet located on the path from the front door to the kitchen, in which you can store products that do not require refrigeration - water, groceries, sauces. This will allow you to shop less often and not turn your kitchen into a warehouse.
For storage inside kitchen cabinets, you should get identical containers and pour everything you can into them - from tea to cereals. The fact is that factory packaging of different shapes and sizes is difficult to ergonomically place inside the cabinet. As a result, a lot of space is wasted, and food from unsealed boxes often spills. Label each container and use the same ones for each type of food. This storage system increases the level of order and greatly speeds up the food preparation process.
Bathroom storage
The approach to organizing storage in the bathroom is very similar to the kitchen. It is necessary to allocate hot rotation items and think about storage for cold items. Leave only those tubes and items that you use regularly on open surfaces. The rest can be put in the closet. It is worth considering hanging a wide shelf directly above the door. It is invisible, and it is also convenient to store a supply of washing powder and toilet paper.
Storage in rooms
Beds with a lifting mechanism and a storage system inside are often much inferior in terms of convenience to ordinary beds with legs, under which drawers on wheels from IKEA are placed. And besides, such beds are much cheaper.
If we talk about the nursery, it seems to me that the child should maintain order in his toys on his own. Therefore, all boxes should be placed at an accessible height. In this case, the little person will have the freedom to choose for himself what to put and where.
Good Habits
A convenient storage system is not only cabinets and shelves, but also a certain set of good habits. Train yourself to audit things a couple of times a year in order to get rid of junk in a timely manner and free up space. Keep track of the overall balance: if after a vacation or successful shopping you brought a couple of bags of things into the apartment, then the other pair of bags should leave it in the foreseeable future.
