With what civilian specialty is it easy in the FSB. Federal Security Service

The Federal Security Service of Russia ensures the security of the Russian state and all its inhabitants. The certificate of this structure opens many doors better than a grenade, it puts people in a stupor and awe, because they don’t tell much about the FSB and it’s not clear what they do there, what they do, what kind of people work. The memory of the Cheka, the NKVD and the KGB, formidable predecessors who helped the state to exist in especially difficult times, also affects.

The dream to be in the ranks of the defenders of the Fatherland visits many young minds. Everyone knows how to get to a factory or a technical university, but how to get into the FSB?

Selection system

There is a strict selection system for special structures. It includes a thorough health check, compliance with parameters for height, weight, vision. Within a month, the candidate and his relatives may be checked. Indeed, to serve in the FSB of Russia, it is necessary to have only Russian citizenship, and the presence of relatives abroad can become an insurmountable obstacle.

After all the checks, psychological tests and the delivery of physical standards follow. Each department has its own standards, but from the middle ones, in any case, a candidate needs to monitor his health, run a hundred meters in 14 seconds and a kilometer in 4 minutes 25 seconds.

FSB officers are the elite among civil servants, both in terms of intellectual indicators and strength. Therefore, the presence of titles, awards in sports competitions, major olympiads will be a plus for you. It is also desirable not to have serious injuries and illnesses in the past, such as concussions or large scars. During a medical examination, everything is studied up to moles and tattoos.

There are two types of candidates for the FSB: those who have references from current employees or veterans, and those who do not. If you are from the second type, then they will look at you much more carefully and, if a candidate with a characteristic applies for the same place as you, then most likely they will choose him.

Before thinking about how to get into the FSB, it is worth deciding for yourself that later life will be connected with the service to the state. This means certain restrictions for life, restrictions on movement, on traveling abroad. In exchange, there will be a package of privileges, state security and much more, depending on the position and merit.

If you agree with this, then you need to be honest on the tests. By order of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation of April 13, 2011, each candidate must be tested for toxic, drug, alcohol addiction. It is also required to undergo a psychological examination, including a polygraph.

Required documents

Have you started thinking about how to get into the FSB? Collect documents. Here is an approximate package of documents that a candidate needs to collect:

  • Application for consideration of a candidature with consent to the restrictions that are placed on the FSB officer, and with the consent that personal data will be carefully examined.
  • Autobiography. Everything is simple here: you do not need to write an essay, you need to correctly describe in which family you grew up, who are your parents, which school you studied at, which university, marital status.
  • Questionnaire in form No. 4.
  • Personal documents in the form of a passport, military ID, driver's license, education documents, international passport (if any).
  • Documents of direct relatives.
  • Certificate of income, existing property and material obligations (for example, a loan).
  • The set also needs photographs, as in a passport, since for each candidate, a file is opened in several copies.

FSB structure

The FSB of Russia has several departments. Each of them requires qualified personnel. You can choose according to your abilities and preferences and aim for the goal. The most famous department is the border control service. All border guards are tested and belong to this structure. The second most famous department is counterintelligence, that's where the guys dream, that's where the special forces, operational work.

One of the main opponents of the world order is terrorism. The FSB has a department for combating terrorism, interstate and within the country. Here, extremists, rioters and other unstable elements are identified and processed.

The rest of the departments are equally important, but not as well known. There is a scientific and technical center, which is responsible for communications, information protection, and is engaged in scientific developments. There is a center for ensuring the security of the country's economy, which is responsible for order in the structure of transport, industry, and the credit and financial sphere. There is also a department for international contacts, a personnel department and a department that synchronizes the work of the entire structure.

Service in the FSB is an honorable occupation, but not always an easy one. Not many choose this path.

Spetsnaz FSB

It is impossible not to mention the famous Alpha group. This is a legendary combat unit created back in the Soviet Union. Many boys dream of getting there, and when they become military men, they understand how difficult it is. The requirements for candidates here are very high, both physical and intellectual. The question of how to get into the FSB is complicated, but how to get into Alpha is a question with many unknowns for an ordinary resident of our country, but not insoluble. The road will be mastered by the walking one.

FSB Academy

This is an institution that accepts only the best young people who are ready to serve their state. Many people only know about the academy in Moscow, but there are also regional branches in which the passing score is somewhat lower. The Academy of the FSB is not an ordinary institution of higher education; it also imposes requirements on the physical preparation of the applicant. Upon graduation, people get a prestigious job that pays decently.

At all times, the state power of any country, empire or kingdom needed support. It could be carried out by both the people and the nobility. But a wise ruler knows that you can rely only on your own strength. This principle was noted in the famous work of the Florentine scientist and politician Nicolo Machiavelli "The Sovereign". The main state power is the army. But it could not be used everywhere in peacetime. Thus, the rulers began to create specific secret bodies that performed functions that were atypical for ordinary soldiers.

These units were used for political struggle, coup d'état and other similar purposes. But in the process of historical evolution, the role of such bodies also began to change. Today in every state there are a large number of organizations that perform special law enforcement functions. The Russian Federation is no exception in this matter. In the expanses of the fatherland, there is such a body as the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. In the article we will try to reveal the essence of this structure, and also answer the question of how to get into it.

Department history

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is the "successor" of the once existing Committee of the USSR. In fact, the KGB and the FSB are one and the same, since many employees of the modern body come from Soviet intelligence. Thus, service in the FSB of Russia is due to a large number of traditions that have been formed for more than one year. To understand the activities of the Federal Security Service in more detail, it is necessary to consider the history of the KGB.

The State Security Committee was a union-republican body of state administration, which was entrusted with the functions of ensuring state security, carrying out foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, protecting the first persons of the state, operational-search activities, protecting borders, etc. In the USSR, the represented body had the status of a universal " political weapons”, which was quite due to the historical period. With the development of pluralism and democracy on the territory of the Union, such a role of the body ceased to be a key one. Today, political pressure is not as important as, for example, the fight against the terrorist threat and the subversive activities of special bodies of world powers. All the presented aspects were taken into account when creating the Federal Security Service of Russia, so the existing body is an innovation in the law enforcement system in many respects.

FSB. General concepts

Service under the contract in the FSB has characteristic features due to the specifics of the activities of this body. Although it is included in the general array of law enforcement services, its functions differ, for example, from the police of the Russian Federation.

Thirdly, contract service, the salary for which is not very large, is a kind of state activity based on patriotic principles. Commercial interest is not allowed here.

Fourth, a citizen must have a high intellect, so citizens who already have an education are welcome.

Fifthly, the FSB puts forward requirements for the physical fitness of its employees and their state of health.

The presented list of features is not exhaustive, because the contract service in the FSB is a reference, given its main focus. This is the security of the state.

Joining the FSB

The process of entering the service in the federal security agencies is a whole procedure consisting of comprehensive checks on the candidate. Entering the service in the FSB is really difficult, because a citizen must be suitable in terms of personal, moral and psychological qualities. In other words, service compatibility is needed. In addition to this, higher education, extensive knowledge and skills are required. These aspects dispel the myth that service in the FSB after the army is real. Of course, if a citizen has a military profession and possesses a certain amount of knowledge in any area of defense, then he will be a welcome candidate for the ranks of the FSB officers. But as for urgent service, there are no guarantees here. Everything will depend on the individual level of the candidate.

What documents need to be submitted?

All candidates who are attracted by the service in the FSB of the Russian Federation are required to submit a number of documents, namely:

1) Application for admission to the service. This document indicates that the candidate is aware of the rights and obligations of an FSB officer, and is also aware of the restrictions on the rights of a citizen after being hired.

2) A self-written autobiography.

3) A completed application form received from the territorial body of the FSB.

4) All personal documents in hand, for example, a passport, civil registration certificates, documents indicating the candidate's educational level, etc.

5) Personal documents of close relatives.

6) Information about property and income.

7) Photos.

Candidate checks

Contract service in the FSB implies the performance of specific functions aimed at strengthening the level of state security, as mentioned earlier. Thus, in order to reveal the candidate's readiness for this kind of activity, his personality is subjected to comprehensive checks, which follow one after another for reasons of expediency.

1) First of all, a candidate for the position of an employee of the Federal Security Service of Russia is subjected to psychophysiological studies. Verification involves the study of the mental state of a person (the level of intellectual development, moral stability, conflict, adequacy, type of thinking, personal psychotype, etc.). The candidate also undergoes special tests that reveal the facts of the use of narcotic, toxic and alcoholic substances. A medical check includes an analysis of the general condition of the body and its suitability for service in the ranks of the FSB of the Russian Federation. All the presented studies are carried out in order to determine the degree of readiness of a certain candidate to work in the special service. The candidate must also understand that contract service, the salary for which does not amount to millions (the average salary of an FSB employee is approximately 50,000 rubles), is unacceptable for the purpose of commercial earnings or the implementation of criminal plans.

2) The service under the contract in the FSB implies the employee's access to the data that make up. For this, the employee needs a special permit, which is issued through a separate procedure. As a rule, this stage is implemented only after the recognition of a citizen fit for service.

3) The last stage is called a medical examination. On it, a citizen will have to go through a military medical commission of the FSB. Doctors check the health of a candidate for service in a special structure. If at the first stage the general condition was analyzed, then in this case the most important organs and functions of the body are scrupulously examined.

Verification of personal data

Every person who wants to connect his life with the FSB should know that the data submitted by him will be scrupulously checked. Moreover, personal statements about the closest people and about the environment of the candidate are subject to verification. This process usually takes about two to three months. Papers on criminal records, social status, civil position of the candidate and his inner circle are subject to analysis. After signing the contract, in other words, accepting the actual service in the FSB, the citizen gives a non-disclosure agreement on the data that became known to him during the service.

Border Service

One of the most priority areas of activity is the FSB. The main goal of the border troops is to organize the protection of the state border and prevent its violations. Since the time they were part of the KGB, because it is these troops that are in constant combat readiness. As in the case of the FSB, they hire citizens on a contract basis. The work in this sector of the department can be considered in two ways:

On the one hand, the border service is a patriotic contribution to ensuring the security of the state and its borders.

On the other hand, it is ensuring a stable future as a result of the concluded contract.

What happens after the conclusion of a contract for service in the border troops of the FSB of the Russian Federation?

Service in the FSB troops gives the following features to a person’s civilian life:

All life will be devoted to the defense of the borders of the motherland;

Constantly paid remuneration for service in the border troops, which ensures a decent social existence;

Provision of free rations, official items, benefits and medical care;

The right to annual leave appears;

When entering the service under the contract, there is the possibility of further training in special institutions of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

Activities

It should be noted that the contract service in the FSB of Russia has several main areas, namely:

Fight against terrorism.

Intelligence activities.

border activity.

Activities aimed at ensuring information security.

These directions are basic. It is in their sphere that the FSB realizes its functions.

Counterintelligence activities

One of the main areas of work of the Federal Security Service is counterintelligence. This activity has been developing for many years on the basis of methods and experience gained from the once existing KGB. The effectiveness of this branch of the FSB is the demonstrative detention and subsequent disclosure of a CIA agent who operated on the territory of Russia - Ryan Fogle.

Conclusion

So, we told how military service in the FSB is carried out under a contract, and also answered the question of how to get into this department. It should be noted that the Federal Security Service is the most functional body that ensures state security in the vastness of Russia.

The interest of our readers in the topic of admission to higher educational institutions of the Federal Security Service of Russia prompted us to create a material that will reveal all the secrets of this seemingly complicated process, and will help those who are just about to enter.

Vladislav Alekseevich, an employee of the personnel department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Karelia, who is engaged in the selection and referral of candidates for passing entrance examinations to educational institutions of the Federal Security Service of Russia, answered our questions.

- Vladislav Alekseevich, who exactly is expected at the universities of your department? Anyone can go there?

For training in educational organizations of the Federal Security Service of Russia, graduates of the 11th grade and institutions of secondary vocational education under the age of 21 are selected. Everyone has a chance to enter, regardless of where he received his secondary general (complete) education, in a city, village or urban-type settlement. Many children from the districts believe that they received an education in a village school at a level lower than those who live in big cities and have the opportunity to study at a gymnasium and lyceum, but I assure you that this is not so. In recent years, children from the villages of Loukhskaya Chupa, Ledmozero, Lakhkolampi, Porosozero, Pindushi, Pyalma have entered our educational institutions. From my personal experience of recruiting to educational institutions of the FSB of Russia, I can say with confidence that a lot depends on the great personal desire and self-training of future cadets.

- When should graduates contact you?

I recommend at the beginning of the last year of study, preferably before December. It is necessary to apply to the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Karelia with an application for consideration as a candidate for study at one of the educational organizations of the Federal Security Service of Russia. The application must be submitted before March 1 of the year of admission to the university of the FSB of Russia. In the first conversation, I find out the motives that prompted the potential candidate to connect his life with the service in the security agencies, and also identify the factors that prevent the receipt and registration of access to state secrets. In particular, this is the presence of close relatives permanently residing abroad, close relatives of those who were brought to criminal responsibility, and the use of drugs by the candidate. If during the conversation no facts preventing admission are revealed, the candidate fills out questionnaires and is sent for a medical examination, professional psychological selection, the level of his physical fitness is checked, and the procedure for obtaining access to information constituting state secrets and verification related to ensuring the own security of the authorities is carried out. FSB, the results of which determine the suitability of a candidate for military service under a contract in the bodies of the FSB of Russia

- And then what?

At the beginning of July, at the call of the university, candidates are sent to pass the entrance examinations to the educational institution. Upon arrival at the institute, applicants undergo a second medical examination, pass entrance examinations in the form of an exam in physical fitness and in one of the core subjects. Admission to an educational institution of the FSB of Russia is carried out on a competitive basis. According to the results of the exam and all tests, their total passing score for admission is added up. Those applicants who did not pass the competition for higher education faculties are invited to enroll in faculties that teach in secondary vocational educational programs, i.e. for 2.5 - 3 years, the guys study in the streams of secondary vocational education, receive qualifications and at the end they are awarded the rank of ensign, and if they wish to become an officer, they write an application and study in absentia at one of the institutes of the FSB of Russia. Young people who entered higher education programs are awarded the military rank of lieutenant upon graduation.

- What is considered the most difficult for a candidate, what problems arise when preparing for admission?

At present, I do not see any difficulties for entering the educational institution of our department. Everyone who wishes must competently motivate the desire to connect his life with the service in the security agencies and meet the requirements for physical fitness and health. When I first communicate with candidates, I ask the question: “Have you used drugs?” Almost everyone denies it. In the future, during a conversation with a psychologist, identified cases of drug use entail a refusal to further consider this person as a candidate for study, due to the fact of hiding information.

- How is the level of physical fitness checked? Are there people who can't pass the standards?

Candidates pass physical fitness standards, such as pull-ups, 100-meter and 3-kilometer runs, in the security body, which reviews and evaluates them according to the “pass” and “fail” grading system, and at the institute, during a second test, as I said , the better the performance, the more points the applicant for admission can score, which is taken into account in the competition. Now the guys come, mostly prepared, physically developed.

- Are there minimum requirements for USE scores?

In 2014, it was required to score over 40 points in each required exam to receive a call.

Every young person must understand that it all depends on him, how he will prepare for passing the exam, for passing the profile entrance test and passing the standards for physical training at the institute, this will be the result of his admission.

- Which destinations are the most popular?

Most of the guys who come to me for the first time, as a rule, do not have any information about the educational organizations of the FSB of Russia. In the first conversation, I talk about educational institutions, faculties and areas of study. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the legal acts regulating the goals, tasks and activities of the bodies of the FSB of Russia. Such faculties as “Legal support of national security”, “Border activity”, “Navigation”, and technical faculties, including the faculties of the Academy of the Federal Security Service of Russia, where we also select candidates for training, are very popular.

- What are the job prospects?

All graduates of educational institutions of the FSB of Russia are awarded a military rank upon graduation: those who have received secondary education - ensign, young men who have received higher education - lieutenant, and for the next 20 years they are employed throughout the Russian Federation. When candidates are enrolled in a university, they are given the rank of private, and they, in fact, become military personnel. The first two years of training for cadets are counted as a year of service in the army. After one year of study, at the age of 18, they enter into their first contract and begin to receive their first salary, about 16,000 rubles.

- Do the guys have a choice after graduation, where to go to serve?

As a rule, the opinion of only excellent students is taken into account. The rest go to serve in the units where they are assigned. Therefore, there is an incentive to study well.

Does it happen that the guys do not want to get a military specialty, but either follow the instructions of their parents in order to get a prestigious education? Or is it often their own choice?

It happens that parents consider it right to make a choice for their child, not taking into account the fact that young people who graduate from grade 11 are no longer children and may have their own views on their future profession. As I said earlier, in the first conversations, I immediately find out the motives that prompted the citizen to apply to us in order to enter the university of the FSB of Russia. Thus, if during the conversation I understand that a person does not need this or he came out of idle curiosity, then why waste your and my time preparing for admission to an educational institution where he will not study and receive an education that is not interesting to him ?

But the bulk of graduates still come competently motivating their desire to enter the service of the FSB of Russia. Of course, providing military personnel with a social package, a decent salary, and free medical care plays an important role here. Upon graduation from the university, young officers automatically become participants in the accumulative mortgage system of housing for military personnel, and three years after graduation from the university, while continuing their service, they can purchase housing under the military mortgage lending program in any region of the Russian Federation, i.e. the employee knows that with the conscientious performance of his official duties, his family will be provided with comfortable housing. Not many employees of various civil organizations have such conditions. I explain all this to the guys at the first meetings.

- How many people enter? Are there many applicants?

From Karelia about 20-25 people enter the educational institutions of the FSB of Russia every year. And believe me, there are many who want to.

- Thank you very much!

Recall that more detailed information on admission can be obtained from the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Karelia at the address: Petrozavodsk, st. Andropova 5

Plots:

The most powerful intelligence agency in Russia is the FSB. Just a few letters represent the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, whose main task is to preserve the integrity of the state, to ensure the security of the citizens of our country. The organization makes decisions within its powers. If you want to get a job after the army, you need to know what the FSB does, what opportunities it has. Let's look at the range of these rights and responsibilities:

  • security services carry out counterintelligence activities to prevent damage to the state by individual groups and organizations that purposefully find out state secrets;
  • counterintelligence operations are strictly regulated by legal acts, and the constitutional rights of citizens (for example, the inviolability of housing, the secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations) are limited based on a court decision;
  • combating the terrorist activities of certain services through forceful actions. Operational-combat measures are carried out by the counter-terrorism unit, they are regulated by legislative acts;
  • the FSB also conducts a fight against crime, in which the activities of organized groups, smuggling, and corruption are prevented. The work is regulated by criminal procedure legislation;
  • intelligence operations that are directly carried out by foreign intelligence agencies;
  • protection and protection of the state border;
  • Information Security.

Joining the FSB

A candidate who decides to join the FSB must go through a whole procedure of checks, because he must meet the moral, personal criteria for working in this organization. And it's good if the candidate is versed in different areas of defense knowledge and has a profession. Probably, every serviceman of the army of our state strives to get into this structure. But for this you need to know the rules of hiring.

Necessary:

  • complete their studies at one of the military higher educational institutions;
  • it is desirable to serve in the army;
  • have a number of necessary moral and physical qualities.

What should be done:

  • go to the FSB website, where it is indicated where to apply with a completed application at the place of residence;
  • study the charter of the federal service, which states that only citizens of the Russian Federation with the opportunity to work in any corner of the country can serve;
  • have excellent health and excellent physical fitness. Everyone goes through a serious medical selection, which determines the suitability for service;
  • if you do not have a higher education, but have served in the army, subject to enrollment, you will be sent to the AFSB;
  • the professional component involves determining the moral and personal qualities of the candidate through tests of both psychological and sociability and intelligence, which determine the candidate's ability to navigate in difficult conditions;
  • verification of the candidate, where the personal file and family data are studied, is carried out only with his personal consent. If the applicant for service refuses, he is automatically excluded.

In the FSB, as can be seen from the requirements, it is very difficult to get a job even after the army, there is sometimes a competition of up to a hundred people for a place.

Preparation of documents:

  • application for employment (which indicates that you are familiar with the restrictions for FSB employees);
  • handwritten autobiography;
  • the established form of the questionnaire;
  • a military ID on military service, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a diploma of education, a marriage certificate, etc.;
  • a package of documents of close relatives (certificates, passports);
  • information about the property status of the candidate.

All documents are considered for about thirty days, if the candidacy is approved, then an interview with the parents will follow.

When Candidates Can Be Rejected:

  • the state of health is unsatisfactory;
  • incapacity of the candidate;
  • citizenship of another country;
  • living relatives in another country;
  • biography inconsistency;
  • inadequate physical training;
  • low test score.

Why physical training is important

This is a serious moment when entering the service in the FSB. The age is limited to 28 years, after the army, getting into the FSB is one of the best options. Upon admission, the following physical standards are surrendered:

  • pulling up at least 11 times without shortness of breath;
  • hand-to-hand combat;
  • hundred meters in 12 seconds;
  • cross three kilometers in 12 minutes.

When to start preparing a candidate after military service

If you have excellent health, no criminal record, then, in order not to waste time, go through a medical commission in advance in your territorial clinic, prepare for intellectual work, pass similar tests, there are quite a lot of them on the Internet, and also train at least three times do physical training a week. When everything is up to the mark, start collecting the relevant documents.

If after the army you still managed to get a job in the FSB, an interesting job and career growth awaits you. But there is also its own specifics. All employee information about his work is kept confidential. Often it requires a significant effort, involves an irregular working day, the level of wages is not so high - about 50 thousand rubles, sometimes, of course, you need to fiddle with papers. There are also times when an employee on duty has to impersonate another person. Sometimes this is necessary in order to get close to terrorists or bandits to expose or eliminate a criminal organization.

Often it is necessary to take measures to suppress the physical threat, psychological violence from the enemy. Actions in the structures of the FSB differ from other law enforcement agencies in a more resolute nature, uncompromising. A characteristic feature is also the complexity of the tasks performed, since the opponents (foreign intelligence, professional criminals) have at their disposal a sufficient arsenal of actions, both psychological and physical. Employees of structures sometimes protect objects of exceptional national importance, which poses a danger to their life and health. These factors lead to the fact that work in such conditions carries moral and psychological tension, it is constantly necessary to demonstrate physical fitness, communication skills, and education. A high level of certain personal qualities gives predominance over the enemy and leads to the achievement of the goal.

Consequently, the activities of law enforcement agencies, such as the FSB, belong to the category of very complex, because the lives of hundreds of people depend on them, the territorial inviolability of the state, therefore, the requirements for employees are extremely high, and young men who served in the army have an advantage here. The psychological component is also important, because you have to cope with many emotional and psychological difficulties, on which the quality of work depends. The specificity of the work implies a high level of spiritual and moral education of the candidate. Critical life circumstances must also be overcome thanks to the psychological maturity of the employee.
