21 obron sofrinskaya. Sofrinskaya Special Purpose Brigade

October 10, 1988 in the village. Ashukino, near Moscow Sofrino, on the basis of the 504 military training regiment, the 21 OBRON operational brigade was formed, which became part of the units of the USSR Internal Troops. The reason for the creation of the new unit was the increased incidence of interethnic conflicts that took place in the late 1980s in the union republics. For almost thirty years of history, the personnel of the brigade took part in hostilities more than once, and also guarded important state facilities.

Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

This type of service has existed in the Soviet Union since the late 1930s. The tasks of the IV included the responsibility for the implementation of the protection of important government facilities and the maintenance of public safety. In the 1990s, dozens of paramilitary units were divided along territorial lines by the former republics.

The status of official VVs was acquired only in 1992, when the corresponding law was adopted by the President. During the first and second Chechen wars, brigades of internal troops were involved in establishing constitutional order in the zones of local armed conflicts. Sofrinskaya brigade was no exception. In the conditions of hostilities, the personnel of the brigade showed courage and courage. Many of the guys were awarded high awards, some posthumously.

History of the Sofrinskaya brigade

Two months after the establishment of military unit 3641 in December 1988, the first oath of the conscripts took place, and already in February 1989 the personnel were transferred to Azerbaijan. This is how the path of glory of the Sofrinskaya brigade began, the servicemen participated in all serious conflicts that took place on the territory of the Russian Federation or the CIS from the late 1980s to the present day. Particularly frequent trips took place in the early - mid-1990s, when violent clashes for independence took place in almost all the former republics.

Today, the brigade provides assistance to the internal affairs bodies during rallies, sports competitions, and guards strategic military and medical facilities. Military personnel regularly patrol railway stations and have the right to detain suspicious persons. At the same time, in case of emergency, the personnel are always ready for a prompt response and relocation to any point.

Participation in military conflicts

For two years (from 1989 to 1991), the 21 Sofrinsk brigade visited Georgia, where it held back an angry crowd during street rallies near Gruzteleradio, in Uzbekistan, Nagorno-Karabakh, Dagestan, North Ossetia, and Armenia. With the outbreak of the Chechen war in 1995, the unit's personnel regularly took part in the liberation of the republic from radical Islamists. With the participation of the explosives, several districts of the city were recaptured. The battle entered the history of the brigade's glory when 34 servicemen were able to repulse the enemy, which outnumbered them several times.

After the end of the first Chechen war, the brigade was stationed in Dagestan, where it carried out the protection of law and order and was engaged in escorting convoys of military equipment. 1999 to 2003 the soldiers of the Sofrinskaya unit were on the territory of Chechnya. After the liberation of Grozny, for several more years they participated in the liquidation of the remnants of terrorist groups.

In the late 1990s, the Sofrinskaya brigade, as part of the Northern United Group of Forces, carried out special operations in many settlements of Chechnya. So, Urus-Martan was freed from terrorists. The personnel of the unit enjoyed fame not only among the Russian troops, but also among the terrorists who tried not to get involved with the Sofrinites.

Targets and goals

The many years of military experience of the 21 OBRON VVs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation were not in vain. Today, this part is considered one of the most prepared in terms of solving important state problems. The main tasks of the explosives are:

  • ensuring the internal security of the state and its interests;
  • implementation of public safety during mass events or in places of conflict;
  • protection of the rights and freedoms of a citizen from criminal encroachments.

The Internal Troops have a good technical base that allows them to react quickly and efficiently if necessary. The explosives have at their disposal armored vehicles, aircraft, sea-going ships and motor vehicles. Since the 1990s, the troops have been operating their own intelligence, following the example of the army.

Heroes and awards of the part

Over the 29 years of its existence, 109 people died and more than 500 were injured. The most tragic and at the same time heroic moment in the history of the brigade was the unequal battle near Lysaya Gora in Chechnya. The commandos bravely held out for 5 hours the onslaught of the enemy, which was far outnumbered. The detachment was able to complete the task, but when retreating was forced to call fire on itself. Until now, the military merits of the Sofrinskaya brigade are honored and remembered in Chechnya. Every year, commemorative rallies are held on the territory of the unit with the laying of flowers at the monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers.

One of the servicemen of the Sofrinskaya brigade, Oleg Babak, was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously. He died in Azerbaijan, fulfilling the duty of an officer to the last. On April 7, 1991, together with a group of servicemen, he left for the village of Yukhary Dzhibikily, where a local resident was killed. Upon arrival at the site, the detachment was surrounded by Armenian militants. Babak was not taken aback and fired back until his death. Thanks to his heroic actions, his colleagues and civilians survived. In 2012, a monument to Oleg Babak was unveiled at the Ashukinskaya station of the Moscow region.

Scandal

Despite the well-deserved fame of the Sofrinskaya brigade of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation, scandals did not pass it by either. In 2002, at the Sofrino station, two commandos serving in military unit 3641 got involved in a bloody fight with the seller of a commercial stall. As a result, two people died and one was injured. Opinions about this incident differed in exactly the opposite. The unit claimed that civilians provoked the soldiers into a fight, while the media said that the brutalized military tried to take a bottle of vodka from the seller by force.

It is known that on this evening several officers and soldiers who went through the war in Chechnya and other hot spots celebrated the birthday of one of their colleagues. And at night in an army truck, they went to a neighboring village for alcoholic beverages. According to one of the guards, drunken servicemen began to pester the girl-seller, a verbal skirmish and a fight ensued. Then the guard pulled out a rifle and fired first into the air and then at the officers. One died on the spot, the other was seriously injured. While the commandos fled in a hurry, another soldier was crushed by a truck. The guard was detained on the same night, and a criminal case was opened. And in the unit passed serious disciplinary checks.

Passage of service

Today, a separate operational brigade 21 includes: three battalions, a reconnaissance company and other additional units. It is considered an honor for a soldier to get here. It was thought of as one of the safest and most bullying units.

The passage of service is based on the general principles specified in Art. 37 of the "Law on military service". The soldiers of the Sofrinskaya brigade undergo a course of combat training, participate in exercises and carry out work on the internal support of the unit. Since the unit has recently belonged to the National Guard, there are some differences in the assigned outfits.

Soldiers live in barracks for 70 people. Each conscript has his own sleeping place, a bedside table. Once a week, a bath day is held in the unit. A medical unit operates on the territory of a paramilitary institution. However, in the event of complex illnesses or injuries, the soldiers are transported to nearby hospitals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Information for parents of conscripts

As of 2017, the military unit set the amount of monthly allowance in the amount of 1,100 rubles. Such small numbers are due to the fact that some are financed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and not from the Ministry of Defense. Every soldier has the right to receive parcels from relatives or friends. The postal address of the Sofrinskaya brigade of the Interior Ministry of Internal Affairs: 41250, Moscow region, pos. Ashukino, st. Lesnaya, 1a, military unit 3642 and the name of the soldier.

The wearing of personal mobile phones is prohibited, you can contact the conscript through the company command or officers who are allowed to carry the phone. You can come on a date only on Saturday before lunchtime, the schedule is drawn up in advance. When visiting, you can transfer the necessary household items and food, with the exception of perishable.

Driving directions

Military unit 3641 is located 55 km from Moscow, you can get there from the Yaroslavsky railway station by train or from the station. m. "VDNKh" by bus # 388 with a change at the stop. "Sofrinsky Most" to minibus number 48. There is no parking for civilian cars near the unit, so it is better to leave cars in the village.

The meeting with the conscript is designed for several hours, there are no hotels or hotels in Ashukino, so if it is impossible to leave for Moscow, you can stay overnight in nearby settlements: Mogiltsy, Sofrino-1 or Sergiev Posad.

The Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation have always been at the forefront, participated in the settlement of many conflicts both on the territory of Russia and in neighboring states. The Sofrinskaya brigade is in a special position in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is considered one of the best in terms of combat training. The personnel earned the trust of the authorities back in 1993, when the command of the unit flatly refused to storm the building of the Supreme Soviet during the events. Officers and soldiers confirmed their loyalty to the oath.

In 2013, an experiment began to staff 21 operational brigades with contract servicemen, the purpose of which was to create conditions for maintaining troops in constant combat readiness. According to the idea of the command, the Sofrinskaya brigade, in the event of armed conflicts, was supposed to carry out a combined-arms battle, as well as be able to navigate and conduct reconnaissance operations in cities and mountainous terrain. Thus, within a year of the experiment, a team of professionals was formed, capable of performing the most important combat missions.

21 OBRON - a separate operational brigade of the internal troops of the National Guard (military unit 3641). Located in the village of Ashukino, Moscow region.

Servicemen of the Sofra brigade took part in many military conflicts, including international ones: in Nagorno-Karabakh, Fergana, Vilnius, Baku. They also took part in both Chechen campaigns, which claimed the lives of many soldiers and officers.

Over the entire period of its existence, the brigade has lost 109 soldiers who died in the performance of their duties. One of them, Lieutenant Babak Oleg Yakovlevich, was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the USSR and is forever included in the lists of the unit's personnel.

Service

The organization of the service, with the exception of some outfits, does not differ from service in other units. Servicemen guard objects in Moscow, especially often they are involved in ensuring order during holidays and other mass events.

The outfits differ due to the fact that the part belongs to the National Guard. There are outfits for the dining room, cleaning the barracks, bathrooms and others. In addition to them, the soldiers remove the snow from the territory of the unit, which is done by conscripts in ordinary units of the Ministry of Defense.

Soldiers study regulations, take part in various exercises, and undergo physical training.

Accommodation

Accommodation in barracks-type hostels. The premises are large for 70 people. Each soldier is assigned his bedside table.

The barracks has sports corners, bathrooms, lounges. Once a week, a bath day.

Meals in the dining room. Due to the fact that the unit does not belong to the Ministry of Defense, there is an outfit for the canteen.

Many people get sick at the beginning of the service. This is largely due to natural stress. There is a sanitary part, but the medicines in it are the most common. Severe cases are treated in a hospital; they can also be referred for treatment to another military unit (6892).

On the territory of the unit there is a shop where you can buy groceries and other necessary things. It accepts cards.

Satisfaction

The monetary allowance of employees of unit 3641 is 1,100 rubles for 2017. This is almost 2 times less than in other parts. The difference is due to the fact that the part does not belong to the Ministry of Defense, but is subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In this area, other orders apply, including those related to allowances.

Telephone communications

Phones are not put, so they are taken away. Issued once or twice a week at the discretion of the commander. However, if there is an urgent need to contact, then there are soldiers who, by the nature of their service, must always be in touch.

Command telephones can be sworn in. They are not publicly available. It is recommended to call in case of emergency, the lack of communication with the soldier does not apply to such.

Parcel address

41250, Moscow region, Pushkin district, pos. Ashukino, st. Lesnaya, 1a, at h 3641, subdivision, full name.

The parcels are picked up from the post office by the soldiers themselves, accompanied by an officer or a contract soldier. They are not received strictly when they come, but how it turns out, so the parcel can lie in the mail for a long time.

Oath

The oath is taken on Saturday mornings. Usually the beginning is at 10 o'clock, but can be postponed to 11. They start to enter the territory of the unit 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Before that, everyone is recorded, so documents are required with you. After the oath, everyone is invited to the club, where the command answers the parents' questions.

Dismissal may not be given. The issue is decided according to the situation: there were cases when before the oath there was information that there would be no dismissals, but the soldiers were released, but it also happened the other way around: communication took place only in the meeting room.

Since they may not be released on leave, you need to prepare food that the soldier will take with him. You do not need to put perishable food, they will be taken out anyway during inspection.

Visits

You should clarify yourself about possible dismissals after taking the oath. They are usually not practiced. The soldier can be seen at the checkpoint in the meeting room, where you can also hand over food to him. He will not be allowed to carry medicines and alcohol, as well as perishable food.

There is a schedule for dating: on Saturday from lunch to 6 pm, as before lunch in all parts of the PCB. Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.

The room has a kettle, microwave oven, tables and chairs.
