Decorative plaster "fur coat

"Fur coat" is one of the most economical options for home decoration. Facade "fur coats" protect the house from weather and natural destruction of mineral surfaces. Modern plasters "fur coats" are sufficiently strong, elastic, durable and "breathable" coatings.

The average price of an inexpensive coat type "fur coat" ranges from 50 to 200 rubles. for 1 m². Work on drawing from 200 rubles. for 1 m². Total, if we take the minimum price, we get 250 rubles. for 1 m² material + work.

If everything is done correctly, according to technology, the facade of the house covered with a "fur coat" will serve for many years.

"Fur coat" is applied on even, solid, mineral substrates. Such surfaces include - brick, concrete, cement, facade putty, plaster, etc.

Types of "fur coats"

In bags and ready-made, in buckets

The cheapest version of the decorative plaster "fur coat" dry in bags. Diluted with water and inflicted. Often, manufacturers of such mixtures offer a ready-made color mixture. The price of such material is undoubtedly much cheaper than ready-made ones, those that are sold in buckets. But this is perhaps the only plus of this material. Dry "coat", usually cement-based. And this is a rather fragile material and there can be no question of any elasticity. If microcracks appear on the walls, it will crack the same. Ready-made "fur coats" on acrylic copolymers and to a certain extent "stretch". And one more nuance. The plaster is applied from corner to corner without interruption, so that there is no joint, if the material dries out at the "border". You can ruin the wall. Think, you will have time to dilute the plaster if it suddenly ends unexpectedly. Experienced teams usually work with dry materials. Either bags are immediately bred at the rate of one wall in one container, or someone spreads and serves, and someone applies.

Application

Roller

One of the most common methods of applying decorative plaster "fur coat" is applying with a textured roller. In this case, the plaster is first applied in a thin uniform layer and rolled over the wet with a roller. In this case, uneven texture of the decor is possible. Somewhere the texture is more, somewhere less. This is due to the uneven thickness of the layer applied. You can only fix it raw. At the moment of rolling, if you see that the "fur coat" is obtained in larger sections, with light movements of the spatula, transfer the material to the places where the smaller pattern is and then roll it again. Here, too, the main thing is not to overdo it. The material, like any decorative plaster, is applied to the entire wall from corner to corner without interruption. And if you linger for a long time in one place, unfinished edges may dry out and a joint will remain. If you have never applied a "fur coat", try first from any small wall in an inconspicuous place. There is another way to correct unevenness in the application. Choose the direction of movement of the roller from areas with a larger texture to the side of a smaller one. "Fur coat" begins to redistribute more evenly.

Compressor

Compressor application is the most efficient and fastest way of applying decorative plaster "fur coat". First, it is much faster. Everything works out evenly. And if you hire someone it is much cheaper. And most importantly, the texture turns out to be more interesting, not so "prickly". And the texture - (droplet size) can be adjusted by diluting the water. And one more plus. Non-prickly texture lasts longer. The thorns tend to gradually collapse (crumble) over time. And the rounded shape is not. If you decide to apply it yourself, using a compressor, you don't have to buy it - you can rent it. The price of a compressor for applying a fur coat is from 7000 rubles, rent is from 500 to 1000 rubles per day. In one day of operation of such a compressor, you can "fill" up to 200 meters of "fur coat".

Typewriter

The texture, in this case, is obtained close to the application by a compressor. It can also be adjusted by diluting the water. The machine for applying a fur coat in the common people is also called "hurdy-gurdy". Inside it is a container where, in fact, plaster and flexible metal plates are poured onto which material is collected. When the handle rotates, the plates "soiled" with the material rest against a special bar, and then break off, producing a splash of plaster. The complexity of such work is comparable to the application with a roller, but the uniformity of the application is undoubtedly better. And the appearance of the texture is more presentable.

Since the texture applied by the compressor and the machine is more rounded and neat, in these cases, "fur coats" can be used for interior decoration.

Tinting

Dry "fur coat" as mentioned above, it is most often supplied in color. But there is an option to add universal tinting pastes or dry building pigments. It is important to take into account the original color of the base coat. Usually it is gray or white. If you take a gray fur coat, only dark tones or shades of gray can be obtained from it. Pastel types - beige, olive, peach, etc. only white. And vice versa. It is difficult to achieve a dark white color, and in some cases the cost of the pigment may be equal to the cost of the plaster itself.

Finished "fur coat" can be tinted directly in buckets. Tinting equipment can be used. Order tinting from the seller. The price of tinting for 1 kg of material in Moscow, on average, is from 10 to 200 rubles, depending on the color. We have light colors for FREE. In this case, it is guaranteed that all cans will be the same color. Or use universal tinting pastes. In this case, you need to accurately measure the amount of color for each can. If you do not add, or vice versa, you can ruin the plaster.

Any "fur coat" can be painted with facade paints and repainted many times. But it's better to tint. If, for example, you have applied a white fur coat and painted it with some bright color, and micro chips begin to appear on your facade over time, there will be a white texture inside. And you constantly have to tint.
